Woke up this morning and noted the TM fiber modem AUTH and LINK indicator no longer light up. The Thompson router still looks fine though. Anyone got this issue as well?

True enough found out the fiber connector box at the pole outside was open and exposed. Snapped photo of the box and requested Maxis to send in technician to fix it. Both Maxis and TM contractors came in and resolved on 6th April (after 6 days outage). Need to self do constant follow up almost everyday asking updates from cs.

I wonder if this justify for rebate on service outage.

I wonder why they like to lock down customers in many of their offerings.. Marketing fellas got fetish with locks or something...hmmmm...

Use their Ask Maxis fb to keep track and keep asking for updates. I had mine issue logged on 1st April and had to ask them almost everyday until 6th April only they get technicians fr Maxis n TM onsite to fix the BTU issue.

Strongly agree!!!! Unless if they offer 50Mbps or more

Maxis called offer to upgrade to 30mbps for rm139 (2 years contract and price goes back to rm179 thereafter) and i tell them not interested and come back only if their marketing folks can offer something better for their maxis fiber first batch customers and move us out from the perpetual rm118 10mbps plan.

Older device may have lower max wifi speed...

There's an option on router config to set the connection lease time longer... Probably that will help.
