Maxis Home Fibre started around June 2012. i'm among the early birds. We pay RM118/month for 10Mbps, and still paying at that rate.

so it is not even 3 year yet...

yesterday i received an sms saying on 19/9 there will be service disruption between 00:01AM - 06:00AM due to network upgrade. possible tonight disruption is a result of that activity...

so, i jumped ship to unifi.

initially when i asked about the speed upgrade, the CS of maxis says no plan on giving the existing customer speed upgrade for now. i even ask so your boss would prefer the existing customers to jump ship ? he said seems like that for now. so i called unifi agent to do so.

one day before the termination, maxis cs called me , trying to counter offer. i said too late already, i already registered and unifi installation would be in the next day. they just lost one customer. i believe many others also like me.

loyalty does not pay. if you treat your long time customer like shit, they will run away.

initially the unifi agent said he will provide me the TR number, but then he said no need because apparently my case is special, i have 2 port for assigned to my house lol... he said must be bug in the system but wth, good bug, lol, so he said i can simply call maxis to terminate no need to wait for TR....

but my suggestion is , go through the TR route, because usually maxis agent will call you to counter offer.....

the only way for existing customer of 30Mbps to get 100Mbps/RM89 is to pretend you want to switch to unifi. but first you need to get the TR number from Unifi agent and then give to Maxis center tell them you want to switch to unifi. few days later sure maxis agent will call you to counter offer to match Unifi offer. siap offer nak bagi 2 months free lagi....
