Hi guys!
I'm a user of Maxis Archer C5v.
I must say before their implementation of the TP-Link Archer C5v modem, their older modem router works fine and smooth.
After they implemented a new modem router (TP-Link Archer C5v) everything starts to go batshit. I'm using it for gaming purposes. And each time 20 mins gap of use it can go randomly DC for a short length of time and reconnect back itself internally.
What's worse? You may not have encountered it before but we call it "Selected disconnection". For example : "Facebook and Google is connects normally but MapleSEA and Phantasy Star Online 2 is completely disconnected (Timeout)
When the disconnection issue hits, not just my PC. It affects all the PC and wireless devices that connection to this modem. Maxis then suspect it's my LAN cable issue, like wtf?
Called up to Maxis, they say they don't see any disconnection issue happening WELL DUH! IT'S INTERNAL INTERMITTENT DISCONNECTION! For the 21st time they sent their tech guys over. Rinse and Repeat "Reconfig Reset Leave" and told to monitor for 2 working days.
3 hours after the technician left. The problem came back. Called up to Maxis and telling them issue persist, they asked me to hang on while they contact the tech site. Next thing I see is "SMS : Your case has been closed" ???????
So right now what I'm really suspecting is the TP-Link Archer C5v modem is giving me all the shit and instability. There's no IPv6 enabled.
I'm thinking of switching over to a better modem to counter this issue. Thought of a gaming modem ROG Rapture GT-AC2900.
Thoughts guys?
