Last time unifi change to maxis they give free TV.. Lol

Just walked out of maxis center - wanted to tf out....

They counter offer

Option 1
-skyworth sue7600 50 inch tv

Option 2
-free 6 months waiver bill
-following 18 months 99 for 100mbps.... 119 for 300 mbps

Hard to turn down.. Lol. Think option 2 I can save over 1300 over 2 years....

Of course free hardware wifi6 upgrades..

Yup. I renewed contract with them this evening d... Took option 2..
Schedule to come install new hardwares on Saturday noon.

Didn't thought they would offer me anything actually... Bcoz many times I called customer service 123 to ask about recontract fiber and my phone plan and mentioned about terminating they just asked why but didn't offer me anything...
But today when I finally made up my mind to join unifi with the agent and bring the transfer request to maxis center.. Only when processing halfway through on the phone call at the maxis center, they start their retention offer. Lol

Over at unifi thread, can see those guys rambling about our minister delay delay until don't know when... So I also don't care d..
With the new deal I counted im paying less than rm 75 a month for 100 mbps.. I think very good deal d.

2moro I will provide details.. But first pls tell me how to perform speed test and whatever tests necessary? Still using speedtest.net?

I renewew with maxis a week ago @ rm 99... With 6 months waiver.. 100mbps...

Am I getting a bad deal since now unifi lowered their price d to 89 and agent saying got 6 months waiver

I remembered 2 years ago it was something like :

Submit docs to agent for processing

Get transfer port request then maxis call u 1st time to confirm..
Once confirm then they will start process..

Get the transfer code then bring to maxis center...
At maxis center they will call u 2nd time to retain u... Usually quite good offer. So after maxis counter offer me d then bopian cancel agent there. Lol. So paiseh... 😂 😂

Was scrolling my fb and they kept shooting me ads for this Bcoz somehow the algorithm caught onto me shopping around for home fiber renewal and saw this 1 agent saying Maxis now can do renewal and they giving a good deal?

2 years @ 89 /m@ 6 months free
3 years @ 89/m@ free 50' Samsung tv

Free replacement router 6, if ours is old 1...

And they throw in some vouchers to buy electronics.. (later go enquire further)

Agent charging RM100 service fee for 100mbps B4 they start processing.. (will be refunded if maxis don't call) (300 and up they charge 150 rm)

Looks legit with office (and thousands of good review on fb) nearby my place so maybe later I go walk In see see..

I went to their office to understand further...
They said it's the same transfer request they doing and the 100 rm is for them to try and retry till I get the offer I want.. And also teach me how to nego with maxis when do they retention call to get the 6 months free/50 inch TV... Rm 100 Refundable if I don't get what I want.....

Bcoz frankly speaking I want to remain with maxis so I can get the unlimited mobile data with my post paid....

My only concern is if I request to transfer to unifi, but no retention call frm maxis, then will I be screwed and landed up have to proceed with unifi?

I remember 2 years ago when I recontract, the will make a 1st call to confirm our request for transfer.... (iirc, 1st call has little to no attempt to retain u with any offers whatsoever )

Then after that when u go to maxis center to do something.... Then there will be another 2nd call to retain u and offering u the goodies...

Not sure what's the process now but I think some1 did mentioned it has been streamlined d.....? So I just don't want to get caught without any retention attempt frm maxis end... Lol.

Rm 100 Service fee is for what they call a "renewal" for those with intention to stay with maxis.. And they will guide us on how to squeeze maxis . Lol. And they will initiate transfer like usual, bet on the fact maxis will call us to do retention and offer us 6 months free for recontract of 2 years... Or 50" TV for 3 years... They said if maxis don't give us these..... Then they will cancel it and reattempt with another "new order" so maxis will repeat the process and hopefully offer us the aforementioned. RM100 refundable if deal didn't go thru and we don't get what is expected

As for if we just change to unifi, no service fee and they will just process like normal (rely on ourselves to nego with maxis)...... If maxis offers what we want then best we save the RM100 service fee to agent.... If don't get good counter offer then proceed switch to unifi I guess? Not sure if can cancel halfway?

The TV is not confimed with maxis when they make counter offer?? Should be nego with maxis and confirm all only recontract ma? How to say recontract with them then only check eligibility? Lol.. Like that I rather don't want...

Just an update to my case whereby I previously paid RM100 to the agent so he can "guide" me to get the Samsung tv 50" frm maxis..

Today they called again, after missed 1st round, rm89 for 100 mbps, offer me 6 months free 2 years recontract or Samsung 50" smart TV for 3 years recontract...
So basically just want clarify that the RM100 is consider agent service fee as earlier mentioned and they about 100% spot on to the whole procedure.. Quite good
