I did Transfer to TM. Within 3 days, 123 call me & ask why transfer to unifi bcoz im still left 12 month contract. Then, i say honestly bcoz TM gip RM89 for 100Mbps with free 6 month bill. Maxis CS say how long contract from TM. I say 3 year. Then, she offer me Maxis Home Fibre 100Mbps with RM89. Price is fixed discount for RM10 as long im stay with this package. She also can offer me RM129 for 300Mbps. But, i reject. No free bill bcoz still got contract. Will try get this retention offer with free bill when contract finish. But as usual, my place get speed capped from TM disgusting practice for other ISP. Get around 93Mbps most of time. Still ok as TM nut will lag at night. Everything is super smooth with Maxis network. Website loads instantly than TM.

Idk what is happen today. But, Maxis Fibre 100Mbps in TM speed capped area no more cap at 93Mbps. Download files before stuck at 92~93Mbps. But now, easily reach 95~100Mbps..even above 200Mbps speed spike when first click download..

Hmm. I think TM change OLT in my area. Not sure...
Speedtest result. Data usage now slightly bump. Despite different from 92~93Mbps to 95~100Mbps... too bad, only me use Maxis in my taman area. Cannot see difference. Will try get 300Mbps later in the next 2~3 years. When another round of price cut happen.. Speed capped area for that plan suppose to be 270~280Mbps..

Anyone here after restart router get assign with IPv4 prefix 113.X.X.X...Usually Maxis will give this IPv4 prefix for Hotlink user. For fibre, private IPv4 user get 14.192.X.X

I manage to get symmetrical speed. Im using Maxis Fibre ride in TM area.

Just this morning i restart router again. Off IPv6. And, use IPv4 all the way to experience 100Mbps symmetrical speed with 113.X.X.X ip range. You can try reboot router today. Maxis seems no longer give 14.192.X.X ip range. No need subs 500Mbps plan just to get 100Mbps upload...

Make sure to turn off IPv6. Only certain speedtest server like TIME MY KL or Astro Fibre that use IPv4 route. If speed still same, maybe different OLT treat different speed. I still get 95down/50up..hardcap if use IPv6...if IPv6 turn off...all speedtest server by default will use IPv4 ip address...need to change settings in router..i use stock router TP Link EX510..

Yeah.After all, TM use different OLT vendor...I do read some forummer here mention that Huawei or ZTE OLT hardware is superior. My place i notice same speed as you. After TM keep adding more port & install new DP. They change OLT card.Then, i get bump to 95Mbps hardcap. Now for whatever reason with this new IPv4 prefix. Some selected OLT get upgrade speed.My place got village area get covered by VC Telecom & some few KM....got new pole being install by competing ISP. Maybe TM trick to make existing access seeker provider to keep using TM port to get passive income every month. So, i won't change to new build infra by other ISP. I heard before if Allo coming to your place. TM will become nice to give you speed upgrade just to make sure you keep using TM. Now everyone that stay in my taman will install wifi.And thing like better use Unifi for better repair is not a problem anymore. They want CelcomDigi fibre. Their choice. Some getting it from Astro Fibre. That good. It improve my 4G speed to 100Mbps all the time except U Mobile bcoz of U Home 5G package that is friendly for rental student/family. I think if Maxis or whatever ISP is coming to that area. They better call their existing customer to change to the new build infra. This will give incentive to user. Everyone here is desperate to keep their customer. Some place even got 3 pole by TM, VC Telecom or unknown provider(not finish work)...i heard YES or YTL also get project to install fibre...YES DP box usually black box like TM..with 5G not under telco control...maybe they want to invest in fixed line business..better after sales service with their own manpower to fix maintenance much faster..it kinda good & bad..good for consumer for better offer...bad thing is too much pole literally everywhere..

Need subscribe to postpaid... TBH, they have the same retention offers as SWU 5.0 like what TM is doing right now. If you already finish contract. No need to bother for this plan which is for new fibre registration. Existing customer for Maxis Fibre can just transfer to unifi. And as usual they will call back within 3 days. Yup, they have those plan like RM79 for 100mbps plan with 6 month free bill. The difference is Maxis only give this special price for 24 month. First 6 month bill is free, thereafter you get rebate from month 7~30. After that, it will revert back to RM99. Also, Maxis do not have any streaming partnership with Netflix or Disney+. So, don't expect them to include free Disney+ like what TM did. SWU 5.0 also got 1Gbps for RM159. But, speed will revert back to 500mbps after 24 months. For now, it is confirm Maxis retention offers which i see some people get it from 123 call. RM79/100mbps. RM119/300mbps. RM139/500mbps. When CS call. Make sure make some story unifi offers more cheap... yada yada... retention team will copy paste same offers like TM. But, please don't expect RM90 for 500mbps. Logic why other telco can't offer this plan despite riding on TM infra. This third party ISP still need to pay TM port according to every access provider RAO...Astro can do it bcz they bundle with TV plan. And, it just for 24 months. Would be great to stay with TM. But, i don't like coming back from work at night just to browse the internet with bad experience. Rather stay with Maxis to enjoy truly fast internet...

Nice. Actually since it their own infra. They can just offer symmetrical speed just like Allo. But, for sure Maxis marketing wanna get people to sign up higher speed plans.

Nice. Now im on 100mbps RM79 plan. Don't need high speed much since just use to download games & stream 4K. Just wanna know if minister gonna update MSAP again next year. Might see another round of speed upgrade. 5G era now. Home broadband need to be on higher level too. Before we enter new era with refresh 13th Malaysia Plan. 500mbps should be minimum standard...

Basically, this offer for pre-existing customer in 2023 speed upgrade. That price RM89(30mbps),RM129(100mbps),RM149(300mbps) get speed upgrade in 2023. Now they do it again for temporary speed boost this month. I think this is their new tactics so this customer won't switch to CelcomDigi Fibre. As everyone know they keep adding customers thanks to convergence CelcomDigi One plan.

Too bad, i already call CS to renew contract with them for 100mbps/RM79/month with free 6 month bills. Which falls in T&C not eligible for subsidize plan. I take cheaper bills anyday. Rather than getting higher speed just to watch Netflix 4K. There is new Maxis Family Plan i see someone share. With higher speed bundles. But, available in selected Maxis Centre. I think people like Disney+ bundle more than speed upgrade for convergence plan.
