A lot of skylake laptops feature HDMI 2.0 which can bring you 4K experience, but you might not know that: only when HDMI 2.0 with HDCP 2.2 can bring you true 4K.

HDCP is abbreviation of "High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection". HDCP2.2 is the latest evolution of copy protection. It's designed to create a secure connection between a source and a display.

You can imagine it as a key, it's a key to support native 4K out put. Without it, you can only have blurred image on your screen instead of 4K.

So don't rush into any product featured HDMI 2.0, check if it can bring you true 4K

Hello, not sure why you think that Aorus is low spec.
If you are talking about GPU. Aorus X5 is with "GTX965M SLI" which means TWO GTX965M inside the laptop. The performance is as high as GTX980M

Only AORUS X7 DT is equipped with 1 * GTX 980 , and nope , we dont do 980m SLI.

just for curiosity , why do you need 980m SLI ?

As for when is our X7 DT available in Malaysia , it is still under assessment.

And 980m SLI , currently we have no plan of doing so , simply because portability will then be sacrificed.

it's not hard to find a laptop with 980m SLI in the market since there are only a few , if you don't mind about its bulkiness , you should go for it !
