erm... bouncy, swaying when on uneven road, skipping mid corner, etc but mainly it depends on the driver (the feeling especially when compared to new), but i know that this cannot be done if it is hard it does not mean it is still working fine it depends on the spring rate (hard spring rate tend to give false impression that its still in good condition) if in doubt, try doing compression test at the shop u intend to do revalving. i belive that they can determine f its still in good condition. what car u driving btw?

The problem is you can't just go to any shop to revalve or service the dampers. Usually you'd have to go back to the same company/brand as other brands will not fit, esp the seals.

putting servicing aside, how do we know sets needs replacements (w/o going to shop)? for normal shocks, beside leaks, it can be felt when the car moves like sampan esp pickup/dash mode, or nosedive severely when braking, or even bottom out madly when car on load

normally you can put a finger on the absorber mounting where you will see a nut where it screw your absorber in place. rest your finger there then ask someone to press your car and let it bounce. if you feels like it has the click feeling, it might need to get services. most adjustable absorber can be saved even it was leaking and waving around. as long as the body and the shaft was in good condition.

obviously the adjustable can adjust the absorber to preference [high-low, soft hard] either for comfort or performance =___= for price, u need some scouting to do esp at sunway

adjustables means..you can adjust the rebound and absorb rates..and adjust high or low. usually the price is 2x and above the normal absorbers
