QUOTE(hyelbaine @ Jun 18 2015, 11:22 AM)
Reading which shows no exposure to any of the asset allocation by the AS1M fund manager to any 1MDB debts issued via sukuk because the majority of AS1M funds is invested in equities as it is an equity fund. And if one is to read the annual report that contains the financial statements you would see that all of unit holder funds that is used to by assets will be owned by the trustee on behalf of the unit holders and not owned by PNB/ASNB.

So that means that unless under the consent of the nominee and also as per the investment objective and trust deeds that is found in such disclosure reports, the only link between AS1M and 1MDB is just the name 1Malaysia.

Of course you would have known all of the above and more because just like the rest of us, you read the financial statements too right  thumbup.gif

Heard from a colleague that is friends with an ASNB staff at an east coast branch that there's quite a large number of units available for ASM today. There's an hour left why not give it a shot ladies and gents wink.gif

Wonder why ASNB do not have the own website for customer to invest.

It will be very good if there have it.
*
Well, i agreed on that.

It would be very convenient for the investors.

Thinking ahead, later in life when you have retired, which one will you use to withdraw money for your expenses - EPF or ASX?

And why?

Just trying to see if there are things I should also consider.

Thanks.
*
I am sure i am going to use my EPF first.. haha...

Looking back to how difficult it is to deposit it today will make me think twice about it.

I think there is also an age limit to the annual 60K top up. Age 60 I think.
Yes, a good point on the difficulty in topping up ASX.
No one looks at the difference in return % from EPF and ASX as to which one to use?

My gut feel is, ASX have higher return potential than EPF as EPF is just too big to maintain a high return, the effect of diminishing return with size.

So, with topping up difficulty & higher return, then it is better to preserve ASX and start using EPF first.

Any other factors to consider?

Cheerio.
*
Yape, because for EPF, we can always deposit monies into the account whenever we have extra cash..

But for ASNB fixed price funds depends on luck..

Either that or the quota for Indian Malaysians has yet to be fully utilized so those with assets can take advantage of them.
*
I believe so..

I guess Indian Malaysians are quite minority compared to the other races..

So should be quite easy for them to pump their money into the account..

It makes me wonder that is it easy to open account if the fund is using new system..

Just curious and seeking your views and opinions..

The fund that I targeted which is ASW2020 is still using old system while ASM which many have successful tried to open new account was using new system.. blush.gif
