Yep. Been playing it last 3 weeks before they patched it to 1.29.

Now your planes get shot down like it's made of paper. 1 hit = wing dead. 2 hit = plane dead. Previously, your plane's HP plays a critical part. More HP u assigned to it, more resilient it becomes. Not anymore.

Still fun though to get shot down in 2 hits.

Lag [ping] is 300 - 400ms & spikes even up to 2,200 once.

Been looking for some kinda proxy that would reduce the ping, if anyone has any recommendation.

how bout u try on any sever? i get 200~250 ping only =)

just playing it..i'm impressed i must say..so easy to control the plane..1st timer got no 1 rank most exp..hehe..my luck i think..but so confused bout the mechanical..starting with Britain plane..

for now its air battle, there will bigger battle going on with tanks and war ship (fleet).. lol its like a massive battlefield i guess)

are play using joystick or keybord mouse only ?

so far keyboard and mouse, joystick i left at my fren house so i havent try, i didnt try the xbox joystick yet..maybe if i got time i will, but so far i fly well with mouse... practising how to bomber plane lately

This is a beautiful aircraft sim. Play to your plane's strength, always either have 1) height or 2) speed. Having both is even better.
I regularly go 10 kills 1 death.

flying plane in this and flying reaver in planetside2 which 1 is harder?
at this point i think that i dont have a knack for flying sim game.

Same, its easy using the mouse.
A few tips, Germans and Americans climb and dive fast, don't dive with them.
American Cobras and the Yak 9s with some 109s pack 37mms, 1 lucky round can kill you.

British planes start weak with 7.7mm peashooters, but these shoot a f***ton of bullets. Point them at an engine of a bomber and watch it blow. With Incendiary Ammo you see lots of Japs burn. Once you get to the 20mm Hispanos all your problems are gone. Watch out for the 120 round ammo cap though. Spitfires are one of the best planes in the game, and certainly very enjoyable. Can do Boom and Zoom, excel at dogfights.


Germans can do Boom and Zoom the best. Boom and Zoom is a tactic where you dive onto someone from above, empty 1 or 2 bursts(Boom) and use the speed to climb back up.(Zoom) use this for planes who have low turn rates.

NEVER EVER EVER TURNFIGHT SPITFIRES OR ZEROS, unless your in one yourself. I fly spitfires alot can cannot count the number of times 3 American/German/Russians tried to dogfight me and lost, ending with me having three kills and minimal damage just by turning and turning.
Flying spitfires against zeros just remember that you can take a few shots but 1 20mm and he's going down.

Always go High and Fast. Never Slow and Low. Going Low at 10-20m ( treetop level) fast with WEP is a good escape tactic, called hitting the deck. High and fast is for offensive purposes the best way to start a fight.
Convert KE into Potential Energy smartly and vice versa.

Avoid furballs like the Plauge. Furballs are any fights with more than 5 planes. Your just as likely to die from a teammate as a stray enemy round not aimed at you. All it takes is 1, remember.

Play to your plane's strength. The stats in game tell alot. Also you can google how the WW2 pilots flied those planes and use the strategies, everything is quite realistic.
Historical and Full Real are much more realistic though, AND MUCH MORE HARDER.

ic.. thx for tips.. i try before i not sure war plane or war thunder i try in beta test.. control using mouse keyboard really harder n always die and hard to kill other plane

i seem fine flying with mouse n keyboard, the only problem is i need to practise my high altitude bombing strike..and is unlucky when u play with bunch of ppl who dont talk and doesnt cover ally n go solo

Yak 9s what country ?

Its clientside hit detection. American servers give me 190 pings, while the russian server gives me 300. Select US when matchmaking. Stop trying to give us cancer with your stupidity and lack of skill. Hits are detected clientside, so Lag isn't a big issue. If you keep dying, its because the game is hard, a few shots and goodbye. The ping affects your FPS, i got 90 fps in the UK with 40 ping, but in SG its 20- 40 fps in a heated dogfight with 200 ping. But if your FPS is unplayable and your plane stutters, get a better PC.

Russians. Just like in WoT russian stuff are better, not stupidly OP, but better.

oh i been playing with 290- 330 ping, i choose japan, but the server is US. i manage to take down some plane but the only time i notice lag is. i saw the enemy plane will have sudden move ahead stop then move ahead. but it didnt bother me much cause i already tailing him lol.

who wanna fly with squad 2 ppl ?? is the feature on yet? flying alone with no backup is sad when u are a bomber
