Just wondering... How's the camera image quality after the updating? I heard the quality improved after 5.0.

How about the battery life?

Good news. Mind sharing the steps you did exactly to solve the problem? As a guide to others who might be facing the same issue in future.

After the 5.1.1 OTA update on my ZU, I noticed the battery drains slightly faster now. It could just be me, I'm not sure. Maybe have to recalibrate the battery over a few more charge & usage cycles to be sure.

As for camera quality, from what I can see it has deteriorated. Most of the pics I take now aren't sharp & kinda foggy & blurry..lacking contrast. Again, I am not 100% sure. It could just be my unit or scratches/scuffs on my lens. YMMV.

I don't feel any camera improvements for 5.1.1 but the differences compared to 5.0.2 :

- better volume controls
- smoother and snappier
- better battery life, without Stamina mode on
- no more memory leak bug, apps closed without user's conscious upon multitasking.

It's very nice, for an 18 months old device.
Can't jump to Z5 Ultra because this update made me loved it freaking much.

Hahaha....i also feel in love with my ZU again, now type whatapps also faster now. previously on 5.0, whatapps keep freezing and unresponsive at some time. After 5.1.1, this problem gone, is this cause by memory leak?

One of the reasons. Sometimes while I'm listening to music with Spotify and Music, the app will close on it's own while browsing Facebook or Web.
Now the problem is gone.

Great to see 5.1.1 update has been excellent for you guys. Mine...so so only, as mentioned before. Oh, and I'm still having that screen suddenly go blank but notification shade is fine problem that I reported a few pages back. Thought it would go away with 5.1.1 update. Well, could be because it's a dirty flash.

Oh, and I'm also getting more Edge connections now, instead of the near constant H+/3G with Celcom in my area before the update. Not sure why.

Love the louder speaker output though...

My best SOT with 30% 3G & 70% wifi is around 4.5 hours max on 5.0.1.

Have yet to see noticeable improvement with the latest update.

try to use flashtool to reset and wipe your phone.
for most of the times, a stable phone comes from a clean OS.

The last time I used flashtool, I ended up soft bricking my ZU. Tried almost everything I could on my own before sending to my usual shop, luckily they managed to unbrick it. I just don't have the knack for it, and no sifu to guide me also. Plus this ZU is my ONLY phone & thus my daily driver as well...

So yeah, tempting but I don't dare do it on my own anymore. sad.gif
