reporting in lol...
2 kids (4 and 3 years old boys)
and 1 is on the way (next month, this 1 i think is girl because yesterday scan still cannot see itu burung lol)

also...
congratz unker deimos... biggrin.gif

1st few months baby came out its hard to find time to play any games...
still can play games but only on the light one...
MMO or competitive online is a big no...
when my son came out...
that was the time i retired from TF2...

once the baby sleep time more teratur then you will get the time to play...
but dont expect to have the same many hours you poured into games before lol...
previously i can finish any games within 2-3 days...
now 1 games would take 2-4 weeks depending on the game storyline...
and expect more backlogs lol...

most of my friends stop playing games after their son/daughter came out...
reason cant find quality times to play games so they have to abandon that hobby...
but some of them still continuing play games like me... biggrin.gif
some even manage to continue where they left off in MMO or competitive online...
for me i left MMO for good...
but for competitive online i seldom play it as sometimes i need to afk...
like last night play grid autosport online...
was in top 5 among other players...
but at the end result i finished last because i was away for a moment while racing lol...

best time to play is when the baby/kid is sleeping...
like in payday 2...
me and my team usually do heist only above 10 or 11 pm...
because that is the time when my kids are sleeping...

2 kids here. My eldest girl just started kindergarten this year

Well, i stopped playing MMORPG completely(WoW) due to the required time commitment if you want to be good in MMORPG you need to spend a lot of time in it

I've been playing mainly Hearthstone, Marvel Heroes, Heroes of the Storm or any Single Player game such as Dragon Age Inquisition

I had to force to myself to change to games that requires less commitment where each game of Hearthstone/Heroes of the Storm takes less than 30 minutes which is why i quitted DOTA. It's really hectic when you playing such a long game and suddenly your kids are crying or wife calling you

I sleep very late nowadays at least after 2AM because i still make time for gaming once my kids are asleep. It's bad for my health but deep down I still have the passion for gaming and this will not go away

EDIT: Forgot to mention i have the advantage of playing in office as well smile.gif Uncle Deimos will know why haha

Deimos Tel`ArinBoss, don't wake up your kid to feed, in most cases sleep > feed. Plus if she's hungry, she will wake you up instead =D

My baby (6 months+ now) is often 'kidnapped' by my mom-in-law lol, so most of the time she will be the one who takes care of my son.

When he's around, I skip games like Payday 2 (my heisters kaki all too farmed up nowadays), DOTA2, CS:GO, or any other online games that require continuous and immediate attention. I will usually play SP games like; Civilization 5, Divinity: Original Sin, FTL, FM2015, Rome 2 etc. These games can be stopped/paused and wait for me to get back from making milk, washing bottles, washing baby's butt etc so it is just perfect.

Wife has been telling me to quit but urgh, I can lower down the gaming hours but to quit gaming entirely is just impossible...

On health-wise, pick a day or two to do some sports and eat healthily (more vege/fruits/water and less oil/sugar/fast food) to balance it a bit. We will definitely lose sleep and HP over taking of baby, best to do something to counter it else we will really game over early.

*Used to play Brave Frontier on mobile but quit recently as I am too busy at work to play on my mobile... New job is hectic, urgh... Only spam Fun Run 2 from time to time.

Even for me now, competitive games and MMOs are a huge no now.

I used to take 2 days to finish an SP game or maybe 1-2 weeks for a RPG. Now, i need at least 3 weeks to finish a single player shooter like Wolfenstein or give up half way for longer games like Valkyria Chronicles. I just cant find the time to play through long games these days but I rather have games that I can control my time and able to finish it in less than 2 hours. At the same time, after working for the whole day, I just want something to relax.

Looks like sim racing might be what's left i'll play in the future. sad.gif

The only time I can play games now is on Friday and Saturday from midnight until after dawn. Or only weekdays (except school holiday) where I'm on MC. tongue.gif No time of course for online games so all SP (TW series and now M&B).

In any case I have been gaming long before the monitor comes in color back in mid 80's so there's no way I'm going to stop gaming, kids or no kids. As I told my wife, better have a stay at home gamer husband than away from home dangdut husband.

LOL...

I got summoned...

Dad of a 2 y'o son and 5 m'o daughter.

My game... mostly SP game which can be paused and saved at any point of the game.

Coop/Competitive MP is a huge no since I'm gonna AFK the game once in a while... haha...

so most game I play now is SP game, game that I can finish overnight before this also took few weeks to finish.

Ekeke unker finally a dad eh. I'm a father of 2 girls (5 yrs and 3 yrs old), another one is coming in April. I was always a single player type of game most of the time so no problem there. When I play destiny online its usually after 11pm, my kids and wife usually sleep already, or most of the time I sneak upstairs around 10pm when my wife felt asleep in front of the tv downstairs haha. Nothing to it once you get the routine of fatherhood. You develop your style soon enough, guys always find a way to survive with there hobby haha

My boy is now 1.5 years old. The only game I play these days are YNAB, which is on the way to set a record as the "game most hours spent on". biggrin.gif

I still touch Hearthstone once in a while but not much interest. My boy clings to me more than his mom, even though he's a breastfed boy. Sometimes I even fell asleep while lullabying him to sleep & if I didn't fall asleep, I can't play computer games for long since my wife is a log once she goes into slumberland. Therefore, I need to be on the lookout for my boy's cry, either due to hunger or nightmare.

Heck, don't even mention games, finishing a movie can sometimes be a challenge. Last last year, I 1 shot applied for long annual leaves to finish up Breaking Bad. biggrin.gif

Anyway, everyone has their own will & way to keep up with their passion. At the end of the day, I'm just trying to get myself to involve as much as possible into my boy's daily life. I've left him with babysitter for almost 12 hours daily so I make it an effort to spend the remaining few precious hours to bond with him. These days, I can't even dedicate my evening to him due to teleconference meetings with counterparts from US & Europe so I'll feel really guilty if I managed to find time for games after he sleeps.
