Yugoslav has a long history of cooperation with US long before the Balkan War happened in 90's. Back then so many Yugoslavian firms getting US made weapons license like M101 (M-56 in Yugoslavia), M72 LAW (M80), even sharing intelligent and economic relationship because they have the same perceived threat from Soviet Union.
For F-16, call it whatever you want, but the facts is F-16 still used by more than 30 countries around the world and still continue to become their backbone because of their robustness and versatility. Their values and utility is matching their price tag, and F-16 was deemed as one of the most successful 4 generation Fighter design in the market till today and no one can deny that.
Yugoslavia majority are Slavs, the same ethnic as Russians. They have been like brothers. When Macedonia wanted out, the serbians didn't attack and let them go without fight. Slovenia wanted out, war because different ethnic and Serbians lost due to inexperienced. Bosnia & Croatia later also wanted out after seeing Macedonia and Slovenia, war because different ethnic. Then Kosovo same thing.
F16 is best seller because it's affordable, easy to maintain since just 1 engine and small yet able to perform multi-role well. It's airframe is good but still it has lifespan about 30 years. Check US aircraft graveyard at Colorado, many f16a are there because over age limit, some undergone major structural patching and upgraded to C variant extending lifespan another 30 years. Same goes to F-15s and f-18s.

That is soviet era su-27p based on markings, most likely fake CGI. If it's intercepting the p3, it would not bank around like that as it's doing air commercial. Russians are known to fire warning shot to scare the pilot first before telling the pilot to surrender and land on certain airport. Same goes to china.
Unlike US, Nato & Japan where they politely escort the bear asking them to turn back. The bear usually ignores and keep flying near destination taking photographs as if they were tourists.

T80, t72, bmp replacement still in progress without production of Armata mbt & IFV fleet, what is Putin bragging? Their naval power still crippled whereas air force still using mostly older Su-27PU and mig-29S fitted with older avionics & pulse doppler radar. If gone to war with US over ukraine now, most likely Russia will lose suffering high casualties losing their entire black sea fleet.
