Without MKA, the price can be as low as 1K-1.2K but it depends on the age of the husky. Most ppl prefer huskies when they are 2-3 months because they are said to be most receptive at this age. Nevertheless, training a husky can be very challenging and it's not for anyone who is impatient and don't have time for them.

Guys,

i m having a tough time teaching my husky ....i realize that he is very very stubborn compares to other dogs ....i tried scolding him ...i tried hitting his mouth whenever he bites ...he knows he is wrong but he will still do it the moment i look away ....he likes walking behind my lab and bite his back leg...when my lab gets angry ...he will run away ....after that he will do the same thing again ....he will follow him from behind quietly and bit him ....i pity my lab.....how to teach him?

Husky is very very stubborn which is true. The thing you need to do is show him who is the boss. Otherwise, he wont take you as the owner seriously. Normally, when a pups bite our hand, I will recommend to put some vinegar on the hand and let them bite. Perhaps you can try this way on your lab's back leg?? But remember wash the vinegar off after you tried it with the husky ya

Hi fellow husky owners.. I'm getting my very own husky in 11 days time rclxm9.gif but I have a few questions to ask as I'm a first time owner blush.gif

1) The pup is only +2mths old, what kind of dog food do I have to get? wet or dry? any specific brand?
2) The pup had only his first vaccination, when should I bring him for the 2nd and 3rd?
3) I've read that huskies don't need frequent bathing. How often you guys give your huskies baths? any specific dog shampoo?
4) Do you keep your huskies in cages? or they should be left to roam free in and outdoors?

Please help a soon-to-be husky owner here notworthy.gif

ask the seller or the breeder on the brand of dog food that he's feeding the pup, you must stick back to the same brand for at least a week to avoid diarrhea

2) The pup had only his first vaccination, when should I bring him for the 2nd and 3rd?
you can check for vet nearby your area here: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/264418

3) I've read that huskies don't need frequent bathing. How often you guys give your huskies baths? any specific dog shampoo?
i bathe my adult husky two weeks once with coat handler or all system, but make sure you blow him dry after that. Their fur is too thick to be dry off by themselves

4) Do you keep your huskies in cages? or they should be left to roam free in and outdoors?
If your pup is well-trained, no harm in letting him to roam free only if he behaves well.

yeah.... they are ok... their cage is under a tree... so they can get some shade... sometimes they just like to jump and sleep inside a bathtub with water...

hey guys.. just got my pet husky back home in pg yesterday? he's having trouble eating regularly n he's unusually hyper at night (~1am)..

is it coz its a new environment and he needs getting used to? kinda worried bout him.. he didn't get his 2nd vaccination yet, so i can't let him mix with other dogs yet.. but can i take him out for walks?

another thing is, whats the best way to potty train a husky? take him out right after a drink/meal? he's been doing his business around the hse sweat.gif

sry for asking so much.. please help icon_question.gif

I noticed some of their mouth is longer than the other. The shorter mouth ones look nicer.

I know ppl usually keep their Husky outdoor, but also heard they are not suitable for guarding because they're quite laid-back and lazy.

If keep outdoor, got chance of being stolen?

their nose look longer mainly because they are thin... fatter huskies normally look shorter... that's some kind of optical illusion...

yes... they are not guard dogs... they're normally friendly to everyone.... they dont bark... they howl... most of the huskies're not lazy... they're very active indeed... the 2 i have were hyper active....
