ur contractor is advising the practicality. Nothing wrong on the paint. Normally ppl use pure white on ceiling as no body will touch the ceiling.I plan to use Nippon MATEX white to paint my house wall....

however, if u use it at wall, then u will spot stain easily as it traffic area.
