Sorry to hijack thread but need to ask.

If walls are originally white do we still need to primer it before we go for the actual colour top coating?

I know its best to just follow recommendations to apply primer no matter if its already white or not because the primer's main purpose is to help the top coat adhere and hold onto the wall better.

So yea...anybody here facing the same dilemma ?
