QUOTE(ntg2lost @ Feb 23 2015, 02:59 AM) Is tat true bro? I did check with my SA on tat when i knw the original need 1.2k. My SA told me battery is actually wear and tear. Usual battery warranty only (1 year or 20k km, i think). But wat was told by him is under warranty until 3 years. Is there any mate with warranty booklet which listed watever thing is under 1yr only or so on? I believe there's certain thing is might only limited warranty 1/2yrs. I asked my SA send me the list. But he didnt have it or doesnt want send me. Aprreciated if any willing to share on this. And i called Mazda SC, battery for MAZDA2 skyactive is around RM600+, MAZDA3 is around RM900+ and MAZDA6 higher(forgot dy). Normal service its gonna cost around RM200-300(which I think normal price). You can actually call their SC and ask them for maintenance cost. But that time, I called them, I did not asked for MAZDA2 tyres. It seems like their tyres abit hard to find? |

QUOTE(GulaV @ Feb 23 2015, 11:09 AM) You guys book your car from which branch and which SA? currently surveying for better deal..or is it the case?same deal from everybody? I booked from a SA near padang jawa there.any good SA from Glenmarie or PJ or Puchong branch? I asked few before purchasing, it seems like almost the same for all. They did not give any discount and they mostly gonna give you free tinted(without security - but i said i can topup around ~300 to upgrade it to tinted - not sure worth or not, lol - not good in this thing) |

QUOTE(s1steven @ Feb 23 2015, 10:54 PM) which brand tinted u r using? how much? My SA initially offer me a free tinted on solar ONLY, but then later on i requested for solar and security tinted.my SA give me rm300 tinted voucher, not sure it's good value to use on their panel tinted shop? He cant make it as he told me he dint earn much on selling this new mazda2, so cant give me a tinted with solar and security unless I topup around ~300, to get both of them. So, I said im gonna topup ~300 just to get both of them lo, but not sure worth it or not =.=". The tinted that he gonna give is from CoolWorld with VLT - 85%, UVR - 99%, IRR - 82%, TSER - 38%, 4mil thickness. |

QUOTE(little-sama @ Feb 23 2015, 09:01 PM) Mazda PJ Nice comparison and thanks for it.My hair kusut masai, I wore shorts, slippers, t-shirt. My age should b around 25-28 to them b4 checking out my ic. The Frontliner approached me and offered help to explain whatever I needed the moment I entered the showroom and also test drive. SA offered full tank petrol, umbrella, smart tag(not sure whether I can squeeze tumbler or not). No free tint, no tint job rebates. Told me to get my tinting job done elsewhere instead of doing it in mazda sc. Mazda Glenmarie My hair still kusut masai, my shorts super loose n falling, slippers, and t-shirt. Walk-in, walk around the showroom, open the display car doors, look around n waited for sa to approach me for test drive, guess what? Nobody even attempted to do so. About 3-4 of em Juz seat at the counter. All I got were stares from the SAs a pretty short stare summore(it's like hmm tht girl seems to be "lenglui", go infront to c properly, ceh not pretty, resume to play handphone). Indirectly memalukan i !! As though I cannot afford!! Ironically, I bet amongst all customers looking at the Mr.2 in the showroom at that time, the easiest to sell to was me hahaha~~~ Eventually I got my test drive after requesting for 1 at the counter. And the way they told me to wait for 30minutes for my turn wasn't impolite but not tht friendly either(why nvr offer me a packet of water while I wait for my turn?). While I was driving the test car, the sa nvr even bother to try to explain n sell d car to me(all he did was pointing direction for the route). Queried bout the air-condition's performance while on i-stop, he bullshit about hybrid cars air-condition is lousier if not the same as mazda's in canto. Needless to say. I will nvr return to mazda Glenmarie for bookings/purchase. I booked mine at mazda pj. I test drive other cars hrv, jazz, myvi, iriz, vios, fiesta 1.5. Verdict on pre-sales 1) honda pj n glenmarie/toyota pj ---> superb. They really know their product and I didn't get any of those look down on you stare. 2)proton Glenmarie ----> what a surprise to be rank 2nd on my list.A malay lady super friendly and can even share with me tht she really really want the mazda2 3) mazda pj 4) sdac pj------> masuk the showroom...No sa to be seen. What a shame. Enquired for 1 sa to entertain me at the frontdesk, baru a sa came down from the mezzamine floor. But the sa an Indian guy is very polite, friendly and informative. 14k discount for ecoboost n 7k discount for 1.5 fyi~ 5) perodua pj ---> so so. Bullshit me about the "soft brake" on the myvi. Sum1 enlightened me if such term exist? Other than tht friendly jugak. 6)mazda Glenmarie---> 2 thumbs down. Verdict on cars 1) mazda2 ~ handling superb, very light steering. Very premium feel on the inside. The gimmicky hud is aweeeesome. Engine very quiet, quite powerful for it's class. Spotted 2 cup holders ONLY. Let down by the stupid halogen light(wtf? Wtf??? FUCK!!!!!), n the rear seat space especially the middle is being bullcrap by its unusually huge "bump". It's been years n I'm surprise to see one since I last experienced tht giant bump in my dad's proton wira in 1998! Got paddle shift n sports mode but I don't think I will use em unless I'm really bored...gimmick! But a muz have gimmick! Airbags 2.... Oklah....it's sorta almost intangible anyway..tht is y I prefer to have the led more than airbags if given a choice. 2) jazz. Super large interior space n damn comfy at the rear seats!! Be amazed with the available leg space and headroom! Handling quite good, steering very light. Interior n dashboard so damn ugly but doesn't feel cheap! Cup holders r all over the car which is a good thing. Gear shift is soooo smooth, definitely btr than d mazda2(I tried to overtake a lorry on the mazda n I can feel the gear lagness on the mazda). Running on a cvt but Im not affected by the noise many complained about.Other than tht...nothing special..No econ mode!!! Still a good car though. FC similar to mazda2. No reverse camera is like wtf? 6 airbags!!! So? Kekeke. 3) ford fiesta 1.5. Shame shame..I wanted to try the ecoboost. Kebetulan the ecoboost tire pancit. Had to make do with the 1.5. The doors r very light, feel very kosong. The interior n dashboard feel very futuristic. Superb handling! Abit jerky on low speed ride. Quite powerful. Space is as small as mazda2 like carbon copy. The bump in the middle is there as well but not as large. 4) proton iriz 1.6 standard. Pfttt. Masuk the car.....what a cheap car.....the interior n dashboard feel very very cheap..( apologize for the bias statement, I've just tested the jazz n then mazda2 20-30minutes prior). The middle info(fuel indicator) thingy between the speedometer n tachometer is made out of red lcd thingy ..because red lcd is cheaper is it?? But thank goodness the android based display interface is slightly btr than the preve and suprima s'(r they actually the same?). Handling not as good as what was described on Paul tan's and livelifedrive. Handling is light at the beginning but the longer I drive, I felt the the handling was slightly sluggish(the steering has this krak krak krak feel. Not smooth). The car doesn't feel powerful n it might be due tht the engine was revving loudly very loud at 60-70kmph as though it's struggling for power when I tekan minyak. Comparing it to the jazz(cvt vs cvt)... Jazz win hands down!! More toys than jazz though... But even My kosong 2008 toyota yaris also btr than this iriz!! 5)myvi advance 1.5. Masuk the car...No difference at all with the old myvi! Rear seat still lacking adjustable head rest. Interior feel very cheaply made! Handling very average I don't feel any difference on the myvi to the iriz though. Power very sluggish but not as noisy as iriz. Duno it's the test car or myvi itself...I brake like 15 meters b4 the car infront..N the car doesn't slow down as what I would ve expected..I tot I will hit the car infront of me already. Had to stepped d brake damn hard!! Complained to the sa, she said it's like tht. Softbrake it seems. Handling Fiesta/mazda2>jazz>iriz/myvi Interior design(personal preference) Fiesta>mazda2>jazz>Iriz>myvi Exterior design(personal preference) Mazda2(even with cacat eyes)>jazz>fiesta >myvi/iriz Space Jazz>myvi> iriz>fiesta>mazda2 Special mention(different segment) 1) honda hrv. Nice! Very nice! But pick up i feel Juz slightly kurang. Handling very nice. Interior...dashboard not very nice carbon copy of jazz's but the arm console is awesome. Button brake makes the centre very spacious. 2) vios. Didn't personally drive it. The sa a botak chindian, his driving skills was superb. Riding in the vios with him driving is like riding a Rollercoaster on a tour. No stability control but he sell it as though it has one. I don't know how to do much comparison between cars, for me its just all about feeling when I drive and sit on it. All of them has pros and cons. Before I know the new mazda2 gonna launch, I actually did some test drive on Honda City/Jazz, Ford EcoBoost 1.0 and Peugeot 208. Honda city/jazz As you mentioned, their legroom is really huge and its quite comfort IMO as well. But a bit boring in terms of design, and as well I heard quite number of people were talking a bit their quality is dropping. Honda city is also used to be my first option until I really saw and tested on this new mazda2. Ford ecoboost 1.0 For ford ecoboost 1.0. This is very powerful I would said. Pickup is fast and it just 1.0. But the interior is very plastic which I dont really like it when I sat on it (No offence, just personal opinion). Pickup wise, i think ecoboost does a lot better compared to mazda2 i think. And the maintenance cost is a bit costly since it a continental car? Peugeot 208 Another good car I would said, very powerful, premium feel and high-tech based. IMO, the interior for both mazda2 and peugeot 208 are very nice, like them very much. The legroom I think is kind of bigger than mazda2 legroom(I have no idea why mazda2 legroom is small, even for its sedan case). The maintenance cost for this car is very expensive(continental car as well). The SA keep trying to close the deal with me, keep giving me discount n discount, I think all together he's willing to give around 6k + iphone6 voucher. Just some comment. I included honda city in because there is mazda 2 sedan which I'm getting it.
You got any detail info regarding the spare parts and also othet maintenance cost for 2? On the other hand, i guess your friend is unlucky on his Peugeot. Heard so far is quite good, just that its costly to maintain. If you are going for polo, choose polo tsi(i think no more production for us d?) for its wonderful pickup n power. I love it, barely feel the gear change. But have to take good care n careful on its gearbox, otherwise GG. |

QUOTE(terion @ Feb 24 2015, 01:37 PM) seems VW feeling the heat now in b segment Their offer/promo is very tempting. they are offering polo and polo sedan, zero interest and zero downpayment, with monthly instalments from RM999 for 7 years... Also a lot users lost confident partly on their car due to problem on gearbox and also the post-services, I think their new cars should have problem on gearbox anymore (unless I am wrong) But maintenance cost will a problem. If you don't mind on the problems and u have to take care it very carefully, then VW is the way to go I would said. haha just a thought This post has been edited by heroes1986: Feb 24 2015, 02:28 PM |

QUOTE(skywoon @ Feb 24 2015, 04:59 PM) since all skyactiv series are new in the market, still under free maintenance & warranty period, nobody can answer you maintenance cost. sorry, mind I ask what is long arm bush noise?spare parts & maintenance should be slightly more expensive than Toyota/Honda. all skyactiv car will send back service center for repair & service at the moment to prevent warranty void. i dont think can get spare parts outside mazda easily at this moment. i read an article, skyactiv car hood is longer to put in 4-2-1 exhaust manifold, thus compromise read seat space. you can compare M6 with Accord, M3 with Altis/Civic, M2 with City/Vios, mazda's hood is longer. my advice is always rear in parking, only front in parking after you really get used to skyactiv long hood design. so far didnt heard any major complain/issue from M3 owner, except the well known lower arm bush noise affecting M6, M3, CX5. which is under warranty & replaceable at service center. some said the replacement solve the noise problem some said no. mine the noise not so serious thus haven't claim warranty yet. not sure M2 will face this issue not. M3 spare parts is expensive, everything is quoted in thousand by Mazda. pair of headlamp >rm4k, windscreen >rm3k, side screen >rm500, wiper >rm100, battery >rm1k, headlamp washer >1k etc... soul red paint is more expensive than other color. M2 should be cheaper since is from Thailand, but sure more expensive than Toyota/Honda. overall, skyactiv mazda is a good car. i love its performance, handling, interior & exterior. it is a driver's car, if you care a lot about rear seat, you shouldn't consider mazda at the 1st place. Wow for m3, spare parts is expensive (to me of course). m3 is total CBU from Japan? Btw, thanks for sharing on those information abt skyactiv. Nice! Too bad we did not have i-eLoop for m2. R u getting m2 as well? This post has been edited by heroes1986: Feb 24 2015, 06:08 PM |

QUOTE(FlyVme @ Feb 25 2015, 01:28 PM) Hi.. Sorry I have 2 question here it might means that your FC is good? I been driving my car reach mileage 138. But the fuel tank meter still show full tank in the fuel meter. Is it normal ? I stop. Sometime work sometime did not work. Is it normal also ? As I been told by SA, I-Stop will not kicks in if your car temperature is high(means hot, I think ~28C?). This post has been edited by heroes1986: Feb 25 2015, 01:45 PM |
