i think the tyre is the one that will make the biggest difference.

What sanadi meant about the aquaplaning is based on the fact that the wider the tyre, the easier for it to aquaplane. but also depends on the tyre pattern and brand in the end


ya i heard ECO not bad but i think nowadays tinting got for 2 purposes

1 is of cause to block out the sun ray, ultra violet light, etc... which is the primary reason to fix tint in the first place

the 2nd is security, which to me i think is more important that blocking out 99% of UV rays but of cause the darker the tint the better la

the problem is usually the security type tint, wont block out as much as a normal heat shield type tint

taking about tyres, what brand and model is the one factory fitted to our cars? i remember seeing it but cant recall the name

thats the SRP price, i believe if outside shop price should be cheaper

might be even cheaper if we do a group buy also or approach some tyre shop as a club to get more discount

do note this new JPJ rule, the reg number will only last 2 months, last time can extend by just paying RM10, but seems starting this year , to extend is RM210

actually i dun think the price will reduce, even after removing the sales tax 10%

because the sales tax currently is charged only 1 time, at the point of sale of the car to us buyers

BUT GST is charged all along the line, from the moment the car reaches port klang till it reaches our hand, so how many % is that already?

not to mention if we add on other stuff like tinting and coating, all will be charged additional 6% now

more like

SST: final car price + 10% tax
GST: final car price + 6% * X tax, where X equals the supply chain

so if thats the case, CKD gets more taxed by GST then CBU.. lolz

Zaizai, by right can refund one. When I booked mine, my SA said can refund the booking fee, no issue

i did mine yesterday at llumar uptown, took hybrid diamond 6 for front widnscreen and crystal 6 for side windows

total cost less than RM2K, due to friend's friend shop

got my mazda 2 today!

driving wise, just love it... can take corners beautifully even with the standard eco tyres

excellent FC, at 100kmh, engine RPM is only 2.25k... that's 6 speed auto box for u on a 1.5l car

havent tried sports mode yet, want to let the engine run in a bit first b4 trying any hard acceleration

the only slight criticism i have is the interior doesn't have enough cubby holes or slots for all my stuff like smart tag, access cards, mobile phone, coins. etc...
also the rear doors dun have any pockets on them

still learning to use all the features in the car and the thick manual means will be a looooong read lol

can only link via bluetooth for calls and audio played from ur phone

but there is 2 apps in the system called aha and stitcher, and it needs a companion app in ur phone, so im going to check it out and see what it does


ya i normally go for security tint, even though its not as good in blocking the heat as normal tint

i didnt get much gifts from my SA also, only thing she was willing to give was cost price of the tinting (ray tech) and glass coating (carzmo), but i manage to get it much much cheaper via a friend

no idea on the movies, but later i will try to put some in a thumbdrive and see if it can recognize the file or not

i also noticed that the ICE can connect to WIFI but for what im not so sure yet, only thing i see it uses the wifi to set the correct time and timezone but will play with around with it more and see

one thing i noticed about the HUD is that u can set it not to display anything, but the screen will still stay up

there is no hdmi port like in the jazz or city, so im not sure how that will work lol

the wind noise when driving above 110kmh is not that loud but its there, so im contemplating whether to fix this:
