Yea bro. Worried tat too.. not sure will kicking in exact on April or might middle of march adi kena.
*

should be depend on payment date. Takkan loan approved liao, deposit paid liao den suddenly want to add 6%. laugh.gif

But the 6% will only be applicable for the accessories only (which currently don't have SST). The car base price RM78k less likely to change as the GST (6%) will replace the SST(10%). This is from my personal understanding of GST mechanics. hmm.gif

QUOTE(terion @ Mar 2 2015, 12:23 PM)
if im not mistaken Mitsubishi also got free maintenance, but cant recall for how many years

last time my Lancer was 5 yrs or 100,000km, whichever came first
*

Oh yeah. Forgot Mitsu. But Mitsu only got Attrage that can barely compare with M2. I think I saw ASX got 3 years/100k km. Attrage and the smaller version of Attrage I didn't bother to check. tongue.gif

QUOTE(pizzy @ Mar 2 2015, 12:24 PM)
Car's base price RM78,800 should be lesser if GST 6% instead of SST 10%
Accessories Package (RM6k), road tax, registration fee, number plates, ownership claim fee, handling & inspection fee, and insurance will be charged another 6% of each item?
*

Assumingly accessories and insurance yes. Others not sure.

QUOTE(ntg2lost @ Mar 2 2015, 12:31 PM)
Hope they calculating tat way as u mention. But as from previous newspaper did mentioned before April manufactured stock once its execute the GST all the left our stock will increasing(GST+SST).
Only April 2015 manufactured stock will be replacing the SST by GST.
*

It still boils down to what Bermaz will put into practice. We can only guess and speculate. unsure.gif

QUOTE(terion @ Mar 2 2015, 12:34 PM)
consider same category mah, B Segment car, though CC and price wise is less

u mean the Mirage is it? lol
*

Yes the Mirage. But power tarak, handling tarak, space OK OK only for about the price of Almera. Very few people would put Mirage and Attrage to compare with other B segment car in practice.

QUOTE(ssyycc @ Mar 2 2015, 12:47 PM)
That 1 also cannot be endorsed yet as it's not confirmed that the industry will practice like that. So have to depend on luck liao.

QUOTE(little-sama @ Mar 2 2015, 01:23 PM)
First we need to understand the purpose of GST which is pretty much basic. The purpose of it is to COLLECT MORE MONEY from the rakyat.

So why would car price drop??? To me NO way it will happen. At most the current price will remain or GO up.
*

From what I understand, GST purpose is to give gomen more channels to collect tax and to prevent companies from evading tax. The effects of it to rakyat is still not exactly known yet. This actually has most impact on sundry shops and small/medium coffee shops.

QUOTE(little-sama @ Mar 2 2015, 01:52 PM)
The gomen is running out of money to makan hence the implementation of GST. The car industry is one of the highest  tax revenue for them to makan. If the car tax drops which means a huge huge drop in tax revenue, what is the purpose of implementing GST? That is what i feel la.
*

yes gomen running out of money to makan so they expanded their scope to makan not just car. Car price reduce also confirm will not be more than 3% increase also will not be very much. What I trying to say is don't worry too much on the GST la. Not like you have chance to escape it as you wish. icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(junior5417 @ Mar 2 2015, 01:54 PM)
Just checked with my sa, she told me will only know when can deliver HB version after mid of month. Anyone can confirm this?
*

I got the same feedback also. hmm.gif

QUOTE(little-sama @ Mar 2 2015, 02:00 PM)
Our malaysian market is about 600,000 cars a year. Let's set a minimum benchmark and all cars are reduced RM2000 tax

RM1,200,000,000 = RM1.2billion gone.

Perhaps other taxes collected from other  items can accumulate and cover that RM1.2billion? But isnt it better for them to have the best out of it?
*

We don't have the proper statistics and figures to argue with this sum. We still have to wait and see. No matter what you do also the gomen will find 1 way or another to makan your money be it car or other products rite? sweat.gif

How's the 6 speaker sound quality? i've heard it shortly yesterday during test drive but unable to come to a conclusion. Feels like the Fiesta's speakers are better
*

After test drive and I'd say typical current stock speakers... same feeling with CX5 and Nissan Sylphy. hmm.gif

ya, ur SA same mentality as me lol
can used but not recommended

in this mode, when u accelerate the RPM goes much higher b4 changing to next gear, so u will probably go over 4-5k rpm
*

I heard this b4. There are others who argue that the SA just say it so that less warranty claims. rclxub.gif

Yesterday took out the DRL bulb. It is W21/5W. Bulb diameter is 18mm, so you might want to get replacement bulb smaller than 18mm in diameter. Will continue to research on 6000k LED bulb...
*

Nice find bro but just changing the bulb to higher powered 1 illegal rite?

yup... That's the 1. My SA told me that 1 is upcoming variant. But I also prefer to change some stuff myself. Want to retrofit projector with shroud and maybe add some bar light. Maybe add sound proofing and change component set speakers.

@terion, I never trust the avg reading 1. Especially for the 1st 10k km. hmm.gif

Dunno bro. My wife Myvi 1st 5k km avg 15km/100L. Now about 10 and sometimes can drop to 9. But if I measure by RM/km by pumping full tank (using credit card) den use the trip A to see how many KM can reach with the petrol pumped. laugh.gif

QUOTE(little-sama @ Mar 9 2015, 01:27 PM)
Cannot be just for the driving experience maaaaaa.

My buying points were these:
...
*

Let me share my buying points:

1) car only for me and wife. No kids yet not even anytime so soon. So space not an issue for me. I'm 180cm tall weighing about 90kg so I'm pretty big manage to sit in the driver's seat quite comfortably and my wife who is 173cm manage to sit behind me effortlessly. No wheel chair, don't play golf and no baby chair so boot space also not an issue.

2) I believe in the new skyactiv tech since I driven b4 the CX-5

3) Done my homework comparing Vios, City and M2 (all full spec only, lower spec ignored for the sake of fair comparison) and found M2 is the only 1 with the interior I like. Very well made dashboard materials, soft touch sides, paddle shift, HUD, well, almost everything inside that it feels like conti car. The current practical choice is actually the Honda City no matter what you like about the other cars in this segment. It has the biggest space, best ICE and highest horse power (didn't really feel the power during test drive though probably due to weight). The M2, like Ford, is more of a driver's car. If you're buying the M2 as a family car (both sedan and HB), you're gonna have a bad time.
