Hi all,

Sorry Noob here. I investigated other AS from ASNB website and

will like to know your opinion on trust like ASN 2 & ASN 3 in capital risk and returns compared to ASM & ASW2020.

I know ASN 2 & 3 has a initial charge involved. Thanks
*
My Advice is to wait till July 20th and buy remaining ASM that unsold to Indian one.

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has made a series of announcements in conjunction with his 100th day as Prime Minister.

Among the announcements are the six key areas that his administration will focus on, a 20% discount for road users paying toll more than 80 times per month and a RM10bil Amanah Saham 1Malaysia trust fund open to all aged 18 years and above.

The areas are crime prevention, combating corruption and improving access to quality education, people's quality of life, rural infrastructure and upgrading public transportation.

Najib also announced that road users who pay 80 times of toll a month would get a discount of 20% starting Sept 1.

He said the Government would also launch a 10bil units of Amanah Saham 1Malaysia trust fund. Those above 18 years of age are entitled to apply.

Other announcements were that those renting public housing would get the option to buy the houses, with a total of 44,000 units on offer.

Petty traders in the Federal Territories will also get a 50% discount on the renewal of their licences.

Najib made the announcement during a "100 days with the people" gathering at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre here today.

I'm new to ASM/ASW.
I want to understand why the rush to snap up the units.

If the return of ASW/ASM is less than 9%, then why not people but REITs? Can easily earn 9% return.

Is the income from ASW/ASM tax exempted? yes

Is the income distributed in cash, or units?units

arsenal,

1) How do you know??

You THINK you know or you REALLY know.

And, if you DO NOT KNOW, why do you ASSUME??

2) Let's use SOME basic common sense here.  If what you say is CORRECT, why there is SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE in the dividend rate of ASM versus ASB??

So, didn't I just prove to you that you do not know??

Maybe.

But I have already enjoyed 100% percent gain from ASM..Now currently enjoying profit...smile.gif..

arsenal,

1)  If you CHOOSE to invest BLINDLY without knowing what you are investing, go ahead.  Gamble with your own money.  It is YOUR CHOICE.  But, be VERY CAREFUL recommending the same thing to OTHERS.  Or, be HONEST about what you know.  In this case, ALMOST NOTHING.

<<But I have already enjoyed 100% percent gain from ASM.>>

2) How could you enjoy 100% gain from ASM without selling ASM??  Or, you had sold your ASM??

i did sold some units some time back....I think you have a point there but i think if the money is for FD purpose and gaining like 2.5% interest and ASM give at least 5% dividen without affecting the value of the units, go for ASM...Depends on risks that people take...

For me, ASM is like saving for emergency fund as you say need to have at least 6 months savings.

OOT: Next will be on foreign FD and Stocks.

Cheers mate!...smile.gif
