Hi Sifus,

Few years ago, I have applied for Maybank monthly fixed savings. They deduct RM 100 every month. for the same. I closed that account couple of years ago. I'm thinking to open the same again. Would like to know if there is such thing now. Anyone of you using the same?

You mean Maybank will automatically deduct RM100 from your account and go to a special account?

Interesting, but whats the difference with normal savings account?

p/s: i never heard of it b4

Yes. They require us to sign the monthly auto deduction form and the sum will be used for their investment. Maybank will send annual report of the fund. Minimum withdrawal would be after 3 years.

I need to search my archive if i could find anything about it. Anyhow, I went to Maybank today and found they still have the same plan. Unfortunately the financial advisor on the branch i went was on holiday so I couldn't get more information. Passed the staff my name card and requested the financial advisor to call me when he's back. Hopefully I can get all the information needed from him.

can't answer the question when we don't know what you are talking about. if you are talking about unit trust, then i'm sure there are plenty in the forum and plenty more out there in the actual world

I think it should be invested in unit trust but only that this model uses monthly fixed amount as the investment.

That's why I'm trying to find out all the information I need. For the previous investment, I had all the information but that was long ago and I don't remember much about it.
