Hi,
Just wondering since Ford is now rolling Mustangs to other countries as well, and MY is slotted to receive first shipment by the end of this year. We will also be receiving both flavors of the Mustang, the 5.0L V8 and the 2.3L EcoBoost engine. Which will be a better choice? I know hardcore fans will go for V8 for the raw powahh ... but is the 2.3L EB engine a worthy powermill to look at too? Don't know much about Ford EB tech so dunno if the power output from the EB in the new Mustang good enuff for it ... And pricing will be around RM200k for the EB version, i would assume?

IMHO, price should be north of 200k since mondeo 2.0 already at 200k. Maybe somewhere in 250k-300k region

Great looking cars from Ford lately and the 6th generation Mustang is no exception. Though this type of car should only cater for serious enthusiasts. 5.0 V8 vs 2.3 Ecoboost - this question has been discussed on the Ford enthusiast forums and generally the differences are in the higher power and torque + macho loud engine roar from the V8 vs adequately sufficient power and better fuel consumption + not so macho engine sound of the 2.3 Ecoboost.

Look at BRZ over bloated price. Even thogh it is supposed to be abut the same price as Camry in USA, sure going to be overpriced. Not surprising if it is priced 400K.

it's gonna cost a lot more since its import directly from Michigan plant.
Look at Jeep. RM290k for a base wrangler.

Ya true on the pricing part. Don't think Ford will be ever able to sell it for lesser than RM200k in bolehland since ours known for bloated sales tax and import duties ... i think RM250k would be a more logical price range (considering they have variants for the EB engine as well) ...

Well, the new Ford Mondeo with an updated 2.0 Ecoboost is coming here in April if you can't afford or wait.
I would imagine the waiting list would be insane if Sime Darby intend to sell it at a very low volume & need to wait to be shipped from USA.

QUOTE(Volkswagen2 @ Jan 22 2015, 10:17 AM) 2.3 Ecoboost road tax = RM680 / yearly 5.0 V8 road tax = RM11,130 / yearly With that road tax on the 5.0 V8, prospective owners would need to draw a minimum of RM60k/monthly salary to own it presuming he's not going to touch his money in his savings/FD account.

I'm really surprised that we'll be receiving both variants. I was only expecting one or the other.
