I got T5 cap on her btw, still using that awful A hull, if you have the A hull she just performs like Schors.

I get the GFCS module first because it's very important. Now I can invi firing between 14.7~17.3KM. But basically over 16.5 kinda useless, wont hit stuff already. So got around 2KM invi firing window which is pretty nice. Of course you need to have that Concealment module installed and the conceal camo.

The guns, basically deal kinda low damage, not as good as the 20.3 of course. So she's pretty much rely on fires.

To get your damage up, you need to switch between HE and AP, depending on your target.

Shchors and Chapayev very rely on their HE firebug. Unless you met a cruiser real close then use AP, otherwise you should always use HE. And when you are playing Chapayev, don't stay too close to enemies, utilize you long range guns to annoy those ships. Especially BB.

The first thing you must get ASAP after you got the Chapayev is the GFCS module, more important than the hull. You need the range.

My capt skills:
1-Sit. aware 2-Guns traverse 3-Torp acq. 4-Demo Expert. 5-Concealment

Ship upgrades:
1-Main batt survival 2-Accuracy 3-Damage reduction 4-Rudder 5-Conceal.

After all those mode and skills selected (and ofc GFCS module). You got nearly 2KM invi window firing range (14.8~16.5) max range is 17.3, but don't expect to hit stuff if more than 16.5KM

Heck, Soviet cruisers much more fun now. Gave up getting Zao already Mogami damn hard to grind after that skill patch.

another match also high tier match i use New Mexico. while my friendly high Tier BB shooting few enemy high tier BB..
i hide island keep do forward and reverse  sunk 2 high tier BB..
best part those high tier BB look down on me and dont want aim me
