hmm... gaming mouse or not...
jus a moderate one seems fine for me.

my A4Tech mouse seems to be durable enuf to suit all your preference.
its not a gaming mouse which cost a few hundred. but it has been running over my computer table for YEARS!!!!! about 5-6years++

although now it looks old  wub.gif
but it still works like wonders

my 2cents... buy a branded mouse for a better guarantee for durability n longlivity of mouse usage n adequate performance.

gaming mouse seems to be for premium....
a moderate branded mouse which cost about rm50-rm70 seems good enuf.

jus dont go for those chicken brand mouse(rm20-rm40) but china brand with low quality plastics...
my fren once change his mouse once every month in a 4month period using those chicken brand mouse.
*
ya, those like Blaze, AVF, A1Pro, Eview,..etc.... though different name but when come to design and quality really looks like came from a same lousy factory...very poor material and quality....something just for laugh rclxub.gif

get IMO 3.0 or 1.1..hehe..acknowlegde by professional gamers..hehe..
DA not bad but too bad im left handed..

@qwertyuioped..its not lik more tahan or anythin..but it allow u to perform betta..its lik a tool for example havin a calculator..if u go exam wif a calculator and ur fren doesnt hav 1..mayb u r not able to do the questions but its a tool dat may help u do it..mayb u can do the questions u noe faster..havin a gaming mouse doesnt mean dat u can become vr gud overnight..its jus a better equipment to help u do dat..as Fatal1ty says..practise is stil the main tool that help u win..

some gaming mouse may not tahan as long compared to normal mouse..but some do..for me bad experience wif razer..haha..

jus my 2cents icon_idea.gif

Agree !!! sad.gif bought a expensive razer Lanchesis, after 2 months...programmable button "kong" already...., even few of my college friends bought the Krait version....not so happy about the performance too. One already sent back twice to the shops for warranty as the mouse encouter cursor unstable issues....

Now in the market got few brand Gaming mice are comes with better performance and cheaper price... A4 X7 is one of it that i am testing now. quite amaze lah... cool2.gif

I HATE CORDLESS! That's why now using the MX518 with cord. Previously using a Logitech cordless...always out of battery, charge battery, charge spare batteries...Zzzzz...no thanks.

Anyone want to buy my old Logitech MX cordless?? smile.gif But gathered loads of dust already...ha-ha..
*
Many mice cordless technology are really lousy.....more on consump battery like drinking water even those so call Logitech and Microsoft claimed their battery life can tahan for 1 year...but if you look atthe packaging....there's a small little * there; means = provide you use it averagely for less than 1 hour a day....

really misleading lah ????

Can any one know any other brand of cordless mice can have the most energy efficient than Logi and Micro ???? sad.gif

the big disappointment about A4-Tech product is the cable, so small and i hate it... my X7 already like "mahu" putus ph34r.gif

do you think "thick and big" cable will help you control the mouse easier meh ????

We use the mouse for gaming lah......

Most important is the material that makes the cable...not tickness.....

Neither. If you're a traditional claw grip player, you're best off with ambidextrous mice like Razer DB3G. Lachesis might be worth a try too, but it's quite similar to the Boomslang in the sense that it has quite a high profile so it might not fit your claw grip. The G9...well, read a few posts above mine to see the problems.
Lachesis user, 4000DPI with 100IPS. tongue.gif
*
Another A4 Tech X7 user reporting in...but its X748K...3600DPI...though Lachesis is 4K DPI, frankly speaking I got 1 lachesis before, compare to X748 3.6K DPI.....no difference lah.. tongue.gif

whether big or small hand, that steel color side buttons will remain extreamly uncomfortable for all people....don't u ever try before u buy.....

Not a comfortable , in fact worst gaming muse ever product by MS.....

External shape looks like "robotic" , but practically ...is very very bad.... rclxub.gif

thx for  the info smile.gif ..... btw i have one other question if its not too much to ask ,

i have a nearly one year old logitech optical mouse (normal ps2 type which cost nearly 29 ringgit when i bought it ) is getting defective , it cannot work on some surface typically on smooth office table or computer lab table so wish to send back t o the shop that i buy from  but something strange is that the box stated  3 years limited warranty , however the receipt stated only 1 year warranty.

can any1 clear this up to me? thx ...

p/s i have checked the logitech about warranty but i cannot differentiate the term (warranty) & (limited warranty)  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

also if one year... my purchased data is on november of 2007 ... wonder they shop can replace one for me
thx for help guys  wink.gif  wink.gif  wink.gif  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif
oh one more thing , the MX518  have the highest DPI of 1600 or 1800? cos i checked the official web stated 1800 but reviews etc only stated 1600 kinda confusing lol  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif

Another hangky pangky tricks "offered" by dealer and bad consequnces support not well communicate nor manage by the respective brand distributor.......

Buy from a better reputation shop dude.

OR just talk to their boss directly. mad.gif

I will suggest A4 X-740 as this baby has been accompany for almost 6 months +, excellent partner in my gaming time. Some more price is not that expensive compare others, lasting, durable...

But overall, still depend on individual preferences ...

I'm using the A4Tech X-705F Gaming Mouse... So far it serves me well... The shape fits my palm perfectly... DPi change on the fly.. Although using optical and not laser... but its still good for gaming... But for hardcore gamers than I'm not so sure...
*
If not mistaken, X-705 was the very first version of A4 Tech X7 gaming series.... now my X-740 already equipped with many new functions and DPI is come up to 3600 already with memory built in, weight control, OSCAR functions..bla bla bla, u check it out from shops outside or via interet lah... ... have been using it for many games including bring out to CC for battling.... very good performance... especially the "PRECISION" ...out numbered few gaming mouse used before such as MX-518(sensor problem), Lachesis (too big; button too soft and right click spoil);.... some more I got it for RM 150 ony

new mouse from silverstone, silverstone raven gaming mouse lolz... go silverstone website to look for it. Very different design i would say.

try it before few months back in overseas..... overall built up quality is within average level only... but the "side wheel" kind of thing...i can said its something different and innovative from a design ponint of wheel... but it really depends how well your thumb fit the wheel. Some might comment the wheel could be oversmooth, some comment its too big... any way, no harm for the factry to try though will not be a trend for the time being.

Then why some ppl says it's a palm burner?
*
could be due to the material used... Razer material is kind of smooth , but sometimes the surface of this kind of material might accumulate heat easily especially for those who have more "heat" on their palm or playing for long hours....some users did said that quite often....

Some more it got the small little "blue" fancy LED on each of its mouse, though shouldn't be a main factor to release more heat on the palm side, but technically, whatever power up with electricty will tend to generate a small little amount of heat...

Especially in tropical weather in M'sia.... psycologically and emotionally for some users, could have some effect...

Different mouse use different material, may be you should try others... smile.gif
