becoz FPS player used to swing mouse alot.. the lifting distance for laser is too high and hav to lift higher to not let the mouse detect the surface.. optical u only nid to lift alittle onli in order to swing.. fast player nid that or later u end up facing the way u not suppose to if using laser mouse..

For me I set my lanchsis mouse dpi to 2000
But when I play FPS i change to 600 I wont be swinging and the chances of missing gun shots 4000 dpi and controlling a sniper in cod 4 is insane |

This is true. I own both a optical and laser gaming mouse. The lifting distance for low sens player is wicked on the laser mouse. My dpi is 1600 and in-game sens is around 1. So when i lift the mouse, there is distortion to the crosshair. It's very annoying when u doing drag shot. After getting optical mouse, it's completely diff |

same, i'm using gigabyte gm-r04 always set at 1600 dpi for fps gaming. 2000dpi is overkill. But on desktop, want to swing fast, i'll set 2k.

Ikari laser is a good mouse. It has overcome the issue of lift-distance actually. But in we, the optical fanboy's head, still support optical mice. laser technology has better precision according to an interview during NewEgg Lanfest. Sigh, ikari laser is too pricey for me. So any other good mice for recommendation? How much is Logi g9 btw?

GM-r04 is fine with me, only the rubber coating is peeling slowly. get logitech mx518 better if below RM100. no offence. |

owned a razer b4, premium price to pay and that mouse konked out on me in less than a yr. i dun buy pricey mouse anymore. i personally like the gigabyte mouse's shape & price point. at rm40 for their optical 6880 series or Rm50 for their laser series, good value for money for me as i find the shape very comfortable for my hands.

Did you claim warranty for your Razer mouse? Anyone tried optical ikari from ss? I saw it selling for 199 |

QUOTE(persona68 @ Jan 4 2009, 10:07 PM) not really must look nice, to me personally i feel that the dpi matter. Low dpi like 800 dpi is too slow, ok maybe acceptable when ppl are using some cheap mouse. But normally i prefer a mouse at least 1.6k dpi. |

Thou, reviews give good comments for Ikari Laser. But its RM100 extra to fork out. RM299 depends u wish to pay for better gaming experience or not |
