hakone is all about onsen and glimpse of fuji mountain.
if you are not into onsen and not into fuji mountain, better do not go there at all. |

QUOTE(y_owez @ May 26 2015, 08:07 AM) Planning to go Hakone and Fuji for 3 days mt hakone is a bit far from fuji.We would like to hike Mount Fuji since July is the season to climb and rest/explore Hakone next day. Would like to know if anything to happen to the Hakone mountain /earthquake , will Mount Fuji be affected ? A bit disappointed rope way is already closed but would like to experience onset and ryokan there Travel from Tokyo and thinking to join tour for the Fuji hike and catch the sunrise Sorry if it sounds dumb. Much appreciated if you are hiking via different route than going through hakone, i dont see how it will be affected. of course there are also possibilities if there will be earthquake/volcano in hakone, it might trigger a some volcanic activity in fuji incase their magma chambers are connected. just follow your tour guide, they will not want you to risk your life as much as theirs. |

QUOTE(komik88 @ May 27 2015, 01:57 AM) im planning to stay 3d2n in yokohama. planning to get the Yokohama-Minatomirai Rail i covered both kamakura and yokohama in a day.Pass http://www.jreast.co.jp/e/pass/yokohama_minatomirai.html but i realise looks like day trip is enuff to cover in yokohama. any suggestion if have any other attraction near to yokohama? shibuya is under tokyo town right? yokohama went to minato mirai, kamakura went for the big buddha and the shrine. there were some wedding in the shrine that day so we became the spectator for japanese traditional wedding. yes, shibuya can be considered as part of tokyo. |

QUOTE(komik88 @ May 27 2015, 02:32 AM) i have 1 more question about n'ex tokyo round trip ticket also. i read through the website but still not very understand. the jr rail counter girl in narita is very fluent in english.https://www.jreast.co.jp/e/pass/nex_round.html if im correct, this ticket is valid to go to yokohama from narita airport right. but the round trip ticket is just valid to use 2 times or unlimited during the 14days? if only 2 time which means i can use for:- - narita to yokohama - yokohama to narita station (hotel) only? just ask her if you are unclear. imho, the ticket is valid for the 2 journey only, the destination is already printed on the ticket. however, there were no one checking our ticket that day when we took the nex. however, there are people checking our ticket when we took the shinkansen green class and gran class. |

Just spent 2 days in Disneysea and Disneyland, I think I have never spent that much time queuing before.
The order would be, fastpass, queue, fastpass, queue, fastpass, queue. Already preplanned the route and also with the disney early entrance for staying in disney brand hotel, we manage to cover 2 attractions quite early. Anyway, the train is japan is just so efficient, always on time. and multiple lines serving 1 destination, for example, i can take keihin-tohoku, tokaido, and yamanote line to go to my hotel in shinagawa. |

Earthquake just now somewhere 800 km off the coast of Japan.. Was up in 6th floor of Tokyo skytree. Can see the tea in the cup shaking. Felt the whole building is swinging. But no blackout and Internet become intermittent.
Many trains were delayed when I reached shinagawa. Lots of stuck passengers. |
