In Osaka, is it better to get Kansai thru pass or osaka amazing pass?

As I know Kansai thru pass cannot take jr train.

My next Japan trip will be Osaka - Fukuoka - Kumamoto - Mt Aso - Kikuchi - Yufuin - Beppu

I ate donkey meat when I was in China.
It took up quite a lot of courage for me to eat it, was staring at the sandwich for quite some time.
Then, I finally had the first bite and it tasted like luncheon meat, then the rest is history. I finished all.

I was there at the beginning of Golden Week last year, it was not too bad. But I make sure to book all the shinkansen seats first thing after I get my JR pass la.

Osaka to Kyoto is about 560yen.
Osaka to Nagoya is about 3350yen.
Nagoya to Kobe is about 4000yen.
Kobe to Tokyo is about 9290yen.
Total about 17,200yen for shinkansen.

JR pass 1 week is 29,110yen.

i think no more japan for me...
save money for other place

Im also travelling to Japan end of this month 24/3 - 4/4. Doing a rather weird route cause most of the hotels are fully booked. Till now I still have yet to book a place to stay in Tokyo and Hakone.

Will be arriving at Osaka and will stay there for bout 4 days and travel to Kyoto and Nara. Then depart to Tokyo from Osaka most likely via Shinkansen.

From Tokyo, will stay for a few days then head to Hakone for a night/day trip (still looking for an affordable place), then back to Tokyo again. Then from Tokyo will be travelling to Takayama for a night and back to Tokyo again for the flight back to KUL. Was busy with work and didn't really look for hotels and now really headache.lol

I think you should do Hakone first before exploring Tokyo. Hakone is on the way from Osaka to Tokyo, if traveling from Osaka or vice versa.

I am no sifoo.. but throughout reading and researching I found osaka amazing pass is quite good offer.. come in 1 day or 2 days passes...(note expiring in April 2015 not sure if it will be extended)

a week in osaka, maybe u want to extend to 1 week around kansai... so kansai through pass could get you to any bus or train which are not JR

Need some help. I cannot find any other modes of transportation besides taxi late night for me to go to Chiba Prefecture from Haneda Int Airport. Ill be arriving late night around 2230-2300 hours.

Hyperdia doesn't show the quickest route there. all of the routes recommended are more than 5 hours.

A week in Osaka? I think you can do Osaka in 2 or 3 days, you should spend time at Kyoto and Nara and other places in Kansai.
Take Kansai Thru Pass, I love this pass so much that I keep telling people to get this pass if they plan to travel Kansai region.

Anyone here have been to the Yamazaki distillery? Do they sell the Yamazaki whisky cheaper there?
