It has been announced yesterday that World of Tanks has won Still Playing Award; surprisingly defeating an older but more popular World of Warcraft for the win.

October sales figures are in and WoT manages to cling to the ninth spot. Call of Duty Black Ops IV managed to sell 4 million copies in a week upon its initial release on October 12th and ranked sixth in PC sales. Dungeon Fighters Online continues to be the world's no.1 top grossing title for the fourth consecutive month in a row with League of Legends following in second.

Not many major in game events were held in October compared to September. Miraculously, WoT continues to remain at #9 while the new game Monster Hunter has dropped from list altogether from #7 in September.

KanonenJagdPanzer 105 Tier VIII Release.

YOY comparison shows that WoT is under performing compared to last year. Assassin's Creed Odyssey was a success reaching #10 in PC sales & Red Dead Redemption 2 reached #2 in console sales although it was initially released on Oct 26.

It will be interesting to see whether the matchmaker tweak patch released in Asia on Nov 13 have any impact on sales revenue in November....
This November it was also announced that Total War: ARENA will cease live operations in February 2019. <Link>






Popularity has dropped a single rank to 13th compared to September possibly due to lack of interesting events and maybe players taking a break after the British Challenge.

A Well-Deserved Reward
Received my 10 year WoT anniversary reward tank... T-50-2





The good news is that all players that meets the criteria are able to claim the reward till December 2019. No date was given so it would be wiser to claim the reward by Nov 30th 2019.
Hopefully the small number of cases involving transferred accounts from NA server to ASIA can be solved... <Link>

For those who did not meet the criteria, I'm confident that this tank will be available for sale in the Premium Shop sooner or later with a base price of 3600 Gold. (MYR 66.41). Currently it is the second Tier VI premium light tank in game after the Type 64. Haven't the foggiest whether the Immortal Classic style will be included as a bonus or sold separately.

Been busy IRL with no chance to play any games in the past two weeks. Hopefully the workload will decrease in following week and I'll be able to participate in Holiday Ops 2019. Perhaps I should consider giving WG some of my money again because they have allowed the players including yours truly a chance to complete the Holiday Ops 2018 camouflage missions. Still to early to say, and it all depends on how hard that Large Holidron Decorider 2.0 decides to troll me.

Stats and opinions including mine aside, World of Tanks still ranks in the Top 10 Gross Earning PC game title worldwide and it is still ranked in the top 20 most popular PC games. Not bad at all for an eight year old game. Surprisingly, WoT also won 2 consecutive Golden Joystick awards in the Still Playing category. Personally I think World of Warcraft deserves that award more, but the voters have chosen. Lastly, I'm looking forward to see the WoT total estimated revenue for 2018.

The Soviet Waffentraeger: Skorpion G vs. SU-130PM

The SU-130PM is a design project for a tank destroyer with a more powerful 130mm gun based on the SU-100PM.

Would be nice to see the SU-152G SPG & SU-152P TD in the tech tree. Although WG stated 4 years ago that they won't be introducing the SU-152 "Taran" TD, maybe they will reconsider adding it in the near future.

The Winter Challenge Rolls Out

The event will end tomorrow soon, and this posting is meant for archival and future price reference guide. What's gonna happen with the USD MYR exchange rate will be anyone's guess in a few years time. Haven't any time to play, not willing to play at non-peak hours for the sake of getting this tank nor spend MYR 316.95 for a pixel tank with bundled items.

Base value for SU-130PM is 11200 Gold. (MYR 198.24) Only 20% less than base value of tank after reaching Stage V. (MYR 158.48)

Italian challenge: Stage I to V: 92000 Base Xp
British challenge: Stage I to V: 75000 Base Xp
Winter challenge: Stage I to V: 68000 Base Xp

7000 less Base Xp than the British challenge but less 4 days to complete it. Grats to all players that got the tank. My SPGs will join the party soon...

No change in the loot box prices. It remains the same as Holiday Ops 2018 last year.

Nothing of interest for veteran players to purchase the loot boxes except for the random chance of getting one of the 4 unique Tier X styles and completing the deco collection for the camouflage rewards.
I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy the loot boxes simply for a chance of getting the IS-3A, Defender or Skorpion G.

As it was 3 years ago...

Happy holidays...

It has been an interesting year with many ups and downs. This year I didn't spend much compared to the previous years because of decoration and shard compensation issues of the last Holiday Ops. It was nice of WG to let players complete last year's decoration and get the styles this year. I didn't buy anything on this year's advent calendar because there wasn't any discount for basic packages, still waiting for WG to make an advent calendar recap with generous discounts for basic tank bundles...

Hopefully next year WG will implement Flexible Premium Account. The amount of premium time that I wasted this month from the Holiday Boxes could have been put to better use...



November sales figures are in and surprisingly WoT has managed to climb back up a spot to #8 in the top 10 chart. Meanwhile, Assassin Creed's Odyssey has fallen off the list after making a debut #10 in October. Battlefield V was released on Nov 20, managed to sell 1.9 million digital copies, ranked 5th in November but has failed to meet the benchmark set by Battlefield 1. League of Legends finally overtook Dungeon Fighter Online for the number 1 spot after 4 consecutive months at #2.

Many events were held in November compared to October that lead to the increase of revenue and popularity of WoT. Among the main events held in November.

Update 1.4 Common Test is now Live!

Concealment and Spotting 101. For those who have just started playing, the videos explains what you need to know to survive and win in the battlefield.








Both battles are played on my F2P account.



Even when the odds are stacked up 1 vs 5: With a bit of luck thrown in, nothing is impossible with good understanding of both concealment and spotting mechanics. The crew has yet to reach 100% First crew skill.



I rarely post high tier battle results because it is more rewarding to upload at replay websites. Even in city maps, tank destroyers can set up ambushes to farm damage and kill enemy tanks.

Have you checked your WoT registered email account lately? It was nice of WG to furnish the player's 2018 battle report. Received mine 2 days ago.



Among other things, the report shows that I was ammo racked 17 times last year.
