QUOTE(Greyshya @ Jan 25 2015, 05:52 PM) Is there any other way to get the PPPoE password ? are you still using the stock orange dlink router? If yes may have a method to help. I called UniFi this morning and they ask me for the owner's IC number. So I called the previous tenant of my house and asked her. After that she gave me a number from the previous tenant before her She doesn't want to share her IC number. I already explained her that I want to change the current router so i need the password. I only know the username by logging in to the current router. I don't want to waste my money on the newer router that I just bought http://thenghui.com/blog/?p=1164 1. To retrieve your unifi pppoe password: http://<router_ip_addr>/model/__show_info.php?REQUIRE_FILE=/etc/ppp/chap-secrets This post has been edited by zenquix: Jan 28 2015, 10:33 AM |

QUOTE(mghong @ Mar 10 2015, 12:23 AM) My wiring men told me that i can directly put 2 cat 6 to join 2 different router directly from Unifi Modem , is it true ? can. that is just like using the 2 router as a extended AP. assign Ip address .2 and .3 but gateway still point @ .1 (unifi router)because i have 2 router one place at ground and 1st floor respectively , so he said can lay 2 cat 6 from the Unifi modem and connect to the 2 router . |

QUOTE(mghong @ Mar 10 2015, 09:37 PM) Hi Zenquix , unifi modem --- unifi router -- xiaomi router.sorry i'm not really expert on this. Assume i have a Unifi Modem , Unifi Router and Xioam Router. so i connect the fiber into my unifi modem at my living room. 1 cat6 cable from port 1 of the modem will connect to the unifi router , 2nd cat6 cable will connect from port 2 at my 2nd floor xiaomi router. I though connection from modem to Unifi router already fix to certain point and vlans.. ,can i configure the same on 2nd xiaomi router as well ? initially my design is connect Unifi modem and Unifi router first..and from Unifi router , it will provide WIFI coverage to xioami router as extended AP . set xiaomi router as an address on your LAN. i.e. if unifi is 192.168.1.1 then i suggeset u set the xiaomi router to 192.168.1.254 /192.168.1.253. use any port (port 2 is fine) except the last port (Hypp TV) to connect unifi router to xiaomi router. VLAN tagigng is more for moving the entire functionality to a different box especially the IP TV. in this scenario no need since runnign it like a transparent bridge. just make sure turn off DHCP on xiaomi router and use DHCP on unifi router. Gateway point to unifi router. If your xiaomi router got bridge mode will make it much easier. |
