guys, do i turn off the box (both the modem and wifi) when i no longer use? lol just installed unifi yesterday i didnt bother asking that

Mind me sharing a story about upgrading and downgrading of TM Unifi.

I first subscribed to Unifi VIP5 in April 2014 and as such, the fee was RM 149 per month. Somewhere around December 2014, I received a call from TM with an offer to upgrade to Unifi VIP10 for RM 169 per month, of course if I shall so accept, the contract will be renewed for another 2 years. Long story short, I accepted it, do not ask me why.

So enters 2015, I noticed that I do not really benefit from the speed increase. I am not an avid downloader nor gamer. My internet usage is mostly bundled up on youtube and movie streaming.

From January to April, I traveled, A LOT. My work requires me to. Need I tell you that I am the only person who uses Internet at my home. Since the internet is left unused, I decided to terminate Unifi. Money was not a problem, it is just that, you could use that money for another, more profitable things.

I went to TM Centre to terminate the service. Was directed to the person in charge or Unifi termination, she asked why do I want to terminate. I explained. THOROUGHLY. Surprisingly, she understood my predicament and counter-offer me with Vip5 for RM 119 per month.

She was beautiful need I tell you. I took the offer. Again, do not ask me why.

Now, I bought a wifi signal extender, and charge my 2 neighbors rm 50 per month for them to use. They are not gamers and are only using the net for light streaming and for when relatives comes over to visit. Of course they do not have Hypp TV, but hey, they have Astro. So, go figure.

Anyway, I honestly do not know why I shared this story. Just because I think. A piece of advise, when you want to try and get RM 119 Vip5, do what I did and talk to the customer service about your problem.

i remembered somewhere in front there's one who tried and TM happily cut off his/her unifi

May I know anyone facing problems fax over voip using unifi. I fax to extension 015 number and they only receive blank papers.

But I fax to others they able to receive. Just only this ext 015 number. May I know is able for me to connect the telephone line direct to the wall port instead of connect through gateway?
