1MB streamyx for rm38?

free usage for up to 1Gb, what happens after that is anybody's guess but I think is either extremely slow speed or charge as you use unsure.gif

Cheaper rates for Internet broadband soon
BY JOSEPH KAOS JR
broadband packages, meanwhile, will start at RM38 a month for 1Mbps speed, which is a 57% reduction from its current price of RM88 a month.

As for high-speed broadband using fibre optics, Ahmad Shabery said a 10Mbps package currently priced at RM199 a month will be reduced to RM179 a month.

The new rates are expected to take effect “in a month or two”, Ahmad Shabery said.

“Affordable Internet rates will allow more people to have access to the Internet in our efforts to become a digital nation.

“Good Internet service and cheap rates will also make the country attractive to foreign investors, and it will also help spur the economy as well as enhance the lives of the people,” he said.

He added that the telco industry should also increase investments to expand infrastructure in order to improve the quality of Internet services.

However, for packages of higher speed and quota, Ahmad Shabery said its rates will be reduced in the future.

Absolutely useless, I hope they don't kacau us cos our RM179 is incl GST. New "cheaper" RM179 rate still have to add 6% GST. My 2-year contract still got 4 more mths to go, wonder what will happen after that.
*
Nope, if you check your bills properly you'll see GST is being still being charged despite having promo, unless you're miraculously left out, but I doubt it

for VIP10 user, how about those who upgraded from VIP5 with special price? I upgraded mine from VIP5 to VIP10 last year, and my bill is only RM179 due to the promotion at that time. so the price reduction is useless to people like me, right?
*
I hope they deduct the promo price from the reduced price package, if not what's the point of this whole thing? promo or not we're still paying the same amount of money doh.gif

Alright, my contract will expire this coming July and I will not hesitate to terminate the internet if they do decide to implement quota, also don't expect me to pay my outstanding bills after that!
