Anyone else having their net disconnected every 30-40 minutes lately? I can safely rule out the possibility of my router overheating, since it was running on 45c max. I even tried to cool down the BTU unit by putting the notebook fan under it, but to no avail.
VIP 20 here. sigh |

QUOTE(djhenry91 @ Jan 21 2015, 10:56 PM) mine kena..everyday dc at least 3 time max 6 time..i get used to it.. i wait contract finish jump ship to time QUOTE(archonixm @ Jan 21 2015, 11:36 PM) u jump ship also will still be the same if u use maxis...basically maxis using the same port as unifi, what does that make a difference? if problem on the line, the same thing will crop up.... idk, maxis one sounds alluring enough, like, i can get their 30Mbps package for the price of VIP20, but yeah, heard the maxis routing thingy suck etc, but....unless u go for abnxcess lol.........which is worse, or time fiber... ![]() just happened when i type this. srsly..... and that latency.... yoo unifi wtf |

QUOTE(archonixm @ Jan 22 2015, 01:03 AM) definitely line problem which wont be solve by changing to maxis. i guess u did report and not solved? i think i report to TM at least once every 2 months. 1. my internet port got disconnected to make way for new subscriber few block away... (this happened 2 times already!) 2. my phone line got broken by contractor next door during renovation.... well most of the time when i have this disconnection issue, i usually just call the center and ask them to reset the port or some shit. it'll work... for awhile. getting real tired. |

***reposting from Mikrotik thread
Hi, new RB2011UiAS user here. Lately I've been having issue where the designated wan eth port will randomly go down by itself. I have already change its port from 1 to 2 but it still keep going down. Any idea? ![]() While our initial suspect is the BTU unit, the TM guy already dropped by yesterday, but they didnt found any issue at all. Just a sidenote, were the disconnection have something to do with this error? The MAC address belong to a iPhone 5c. ![]() This post has been edited by CZero: Jan 30 2015, 10:16 AM |

So early this month, I went to TM Serdang to have my VIP 20 upgraded to Unifi 50. After much arguing, they agreed to let me take the 50Mbps package without Hypp TV bullshit for around 260-270++ (cant remember exact amount).
10 days later, I drop 100 a call and was told that my request is marked as Pending in their system for unknown reason, and they're going to pursue the matter further. Fast forward today, still nothing, and I just learnt this from a friend of mine; Unifi 50's upload speed is capped to 10 Mbps, which is kinda pointless for me. ![]() So there's that. I'm going to drop them a call and cancel my request. I'll just stick with the current VIP 20 for the time being. |
