Yes, you can, but not all types of aquarium pump can be used for that reason...
You should research first on what type of pump that can be used for that reason...

And when you're done with you're custom watercooling setup, let me know, i'm also interested on it...

Not only that, the noise is unbearable too. I would rather pay extra cash to get a lesser noise pump than a cheapo pump that goes screaming from day till night.

I am no expert on water cooling but I have some experience in aquarium equipments and my advice is no. Most aquarium water pump is meant to be partially submerged or totally immersed into the water. It will get very hot when it is not submerged into water even when the water is still being pumped through the tubes. I do not know if it would do any harm for being very hot but it would be much more appropriate to buy a proper water cooling system.

Maybe he will seal the box and make sure the air flows from the back to the radiator and out to the box. He needs another pair of fans on the radiator to achieve this.

i dont think so..if the modder seal it up,the air from the fan is not strong enough to reach the radiator..instead,he must us stand fan to do that.. huhu..

erm... must have been a while since i have been thru this thread...

anyways,

Now / currently i am running on Nirox P2800 , El cheapo pump. Not Bad. biggrin.gif ( noise erm... i dunt think there is ) , Heat ( a bit warm ) a small 80mm / 60mm fan would do the job.

In My Case, The Pump is inside my casing so i have the case fan to cool down the pump's heat. biggrin.gif been using it for a while biggrin.gif

Before this i used a a really cheap aquarium pump, submerged it in a cookie jar and made some connector on top. biggrin.gif the only problem to that was the heat dumped into the water. If u can get a bigger jar + better radiator, i guess the heat dumped by the pump would not be a problem.

Hope That Helps.

As For Radiator.

Try scavenging for a DAIHATSU MIRA / CHARADE Heatercore.

This 2 stuffs would do the trick. biggrin.gif

i did tried nirox p2800 and a used car heatercore for my earlier watercooling project. but i found nirox pump going to heat up after some time, i feel quite hot when i touch on the pump. so it gives a feel that the pump really dump a lot of heat inside the loop.

below is the picture of heatercore from used car and just did minor mod on the inlet/outlet fittings.

theres some minor cost i didnt put n remember
but at my place the fitting quite expensive

well b4 apply this water cooling
idle temp= 53c
Load temp=60c n up

after apply
idle temp=42-43c
load temp=50c

but i doubt my temp software detector
but at least there some drop of temp
my temp cant drop around 30++
maybe to some factor

1.software detector problem
2. pump not power enough n also submerge
3.heatercore made from aluminium. if copper there might some drop of temp more

Thermaltake BigWater Se is not upgradeable ...

where else the DIY Kit is upgradeable.

u can change the parts according to ur likings. ... biggrin.gif

heatercore could be changed to CoolTRek or Black Ice Pro RAdiators ...

Pump could be changed from submerged to Nirox in - line or Branded such as Laing.

Tubings could be changed too... from 3/8 to 1/2 , whereelse the bigwater is limited to 1/4 and 3/8.

Not many waterblocks are availlable at 1/4 tube size. Mostly are at 1/2 and 3/8.

U get better performance of course from the DIY kit than the bigwater biggrin.gif

Doing yr own WC setup give u own satisfaction from gather all the info about WC, buy the WC stuff, assembled the WC stuff and see yr WC running.
See yr WC running is the best part.
the word "satisfaction" will be on yr forehead rclxm9.gif

BTW TQ ZAhri for giving explanation to him

Because Thermaltake Bigwater Sucks!!!

It sucks to the max...

Only the bling bling features are good, other than that, it sucks!!!

I've used Bigwater SE before, and after i've changed to CM Hyper 6+ [Air Cooling Heatsink] the Hyper 6+ performs much much better than Bigwater SE...

Damn, what do Thermaltake engineers were thinking?
Do they only think of money?

Damn!!! sweat.gif
