First post here. Sharing my sort of small form factor build....is this considered a SFF build? thumbup.gif

Specs of the Baby (Hotbox) Ryzen:
Ryzen 5 1600
8 GB Corsair Vengeance 2666 DDR4 (currently 1 stick due to funding)
Asrock B450M HDV R4.0 (mATX)
Sapphire RX470D itx
Corsair CS650M power supply (semi modular ATX)
Jonsbo C2 case

I wanted something smaller than my previous build (NZXT S340) without needing to pay the SFF tax.

The case is far from 'good' but I wanted something that was cheap and can be DIY-ed without much pain. Thermals is not that great, but will fix that soon with a larger holes on the top.

well SFX PSUs are meant for SFF builds, which have a layout that placed the hardware closer to each other so having long cables would only mess with the cable management

but in any case that you needed longer cables, you can always opt for cable extensions or custom cables

It looks huge but it's only 12L which boggles my mind.

At that volume, it's definitely SFF (<20L).

Might be the camera angle hahaha.... the added height to the top (about 2.5cm) does make it look taller though.

I will be using gigabyte b450i with ryzen 2400g, the rest component im not sure yet as im short of money right now. The compatible part is almost same with dr zaber sentry, except this case support maximum 50mm cpu cooler height. There a china itx close group that have a limited production of this case, I think there will be a v2 version coming out.

Does this use an SFX PSU, flex atx PSU or does it need a power brick like laptop?

EDIT: If it's like the Zaber, it'll use SFX as found on their site:

Yeah, sorry about that, I made a mistake there. Because originally the person who made it doesnt put on sale on taobao, but due to have some extra stock so he ask his friend (the store owner that you shared) to help him sell.

Nowadays even SFX can go up to 750W output already. might as well just stick with SFX for maximum compatibility

myself even using a case that can support ATX PSU, I opt for SFX PSU for ease of cable management, and of course would make it easier for me to use virtually any case

that is, unless the case needs special parts like single fan GPU or flex PSU lol

Yeah I agree with you, but there is one downside that is expensive than the atx psu. If really want to save space can choose those dc power supply like hdplex.

How's the build quality? Does it feel like a cheap knockoff?

Former owner of Node 202 case here. I like it's aesthetic and portability but build quality not great and feel a bit flimsy. Currently looking for a new SFF case. Below is my potential choice smile.gif

*Phanteks Evolve Shift AIR
*Mjolnir thor-zone
*Louqe Ghost S1

I am also interested in the KO Dr.Zaber Sentry case as well smile.gif

that is some pretty high end choices there sweat.gif

the Thor case looks good imo, but just like any other crowdfunded/premium small ITX cases, it'll cost a bomb cry.gif
