hi guys, how long is the usual waitlist to get the GMT batman? I called up the AD and all I got was that the list is super long and it is basically an 'indefinite' wait. Not even an estimate when I pressed for one. Crazy

Penang got one. But that was 2 weeks ago. Dunno it has been sold or not by now.

Unfortunately I can only get it from Rolex Boutique Swiss Watch Gallery because I have some vouchers. Anyone knows if their service is any good? They seem keen to only push the models in stock and not interested at all with models with a waitlist.

Cheers gents, really quite happy with this purchase.

Kelvw unfortunately, I did not get this at retail; everyone marks them up here. The only way to get it for retail, it to buy a solid gold piece at the same time, or very recently. Most ADs here also say they put you on "the list" but never actually call you back in return. Its mostly first come first serve, and they don't stay very long.

Here are some shots of them together:

Congrats! Great looking watch. Absolutely agree with you on the 'waiting list' mumbo-jumbo. I have called at least 3 ADs to be put on the 'list' since March but have not heard a peep from them thus far. I don't think I will ever hear from them cry.gif

So where did you get yours?

any AD got 116500LN? I put myself in waiting list 8 months ago in 2 diff AD, no news at all....

What I can't stand is the cockiness of the salesperson at the AD. Usually their reply is a very curt "No stock".
They can continue to behave like this because people like us continue to crawl back to them on our knees and part with ridiculous sums of money tongue.gif

Last month I was told it was about 35k with a long waiting list. been waiting for more than half year. I haven't got any news from them. ;/

AD told me that it will take 2 years rclxub.gif
It is for this precise reason that the grey market can demand an asking price of 40K. They are all at cahoots with each other if you ask me.

The only way to get a "Hot Model" Rolex is through building rapport with your AD sales personnel. Either through purchase watch  from the sales personnel previously or friends who have connection. Grey dealer would be your best bet if you want to grab a hold on the watch fast. The AD waiting lists is just a ways to reject client which even they took down your contact, you will never get called. Best of luck in your search.

Eventually settled for the black GMT from KLCC. I gave up on Batman even though that was the much preferred model.

Sorry mine is Batman. Didn't read your post properly.

I was offered 29K++ few years back which I didn't get, than about a year ago 36.5K when it comes to my turn then when I last asked in Nov'16  37.5K I quickly react.  Last I checked in Jan'17 was 39,500 and now I don't know how much. I got mine from Swissgallery Penang.

You are very lucky to get a batman from AD...I have tried for the last 6 months but finally gave up. They told me that the wait is 2 years?? That's not acceptable la

Congrats on ur purchase. Share us some of the pic. Which KLCC sales personnel u deal with?
*
Ah, just a regular black GMT. What pics are there to share haha

The person from KLCC I dealt with is called Yen. Rather nice lady compared to the others from Pavilion, BSC and Nu Sentral who didn't even get back to me. I will not consider getting it from grey dealers due to them 'frying' the price. In fact, if nobody gives in to this unfair practice they will be out of business!

Exp2 is readily available; I believe list is about RM31k; 2k premium over 114060 Sub.
*
You are right bro. SWG quoted 31K less 5%. Model in stock.
42mm is too big IMO. Anybody else thinks the same way?

Let them know that you are willing to pay premium price (above MSRP) and they will pull one out for you from their vault. That’s how I managed to get my Sub C date without being on any waiting list.

Money talks.
*
There is a new ruling that came into force not long ago - AD can no longer sell premium. Only RRP

Highly doubt any ADs "have stock" for BLNR and Subs these days. All are holding for VIP or VVIP spenders. 50k spend to get to buy basic steel, 100k spend to get to buy Batman or Hulk, which is really quite insane. Of course there is that rumour that, like Hermes, there are the occasional random buyers who do get picked on the list. Cash buyers preferred in these transactions.
*
I offered to buy a lady datejust just so that I can get a Sub from the AD, but even this offer does nothing unsure.gif
They are working like a cartel because customers are forking out premium prices at resellers (Hulk going at RM50k!) If this outrageous practice stops, the AD will not play monkey anymore.

Managed to grab a Sub from AD at RRP recently with a purchase of a Zenith (18% disc). After months of trying, I find this is the only way. Good luck

Sub NoDate or Date ?

which one is more difficult to get?

Sub Date. The no date one is easier to get, apparently. But my personal opinion is that a no date Sub somehow feels like something's missing. So it is a no go for me.

Enjoy the hunt bro. It's worth it biggrin.gif

I have waited close to a year and this is despite the fact that I have bought a GMT from the AD in the recent past. They never called so don't hold your breath.
If you do not want to buy at inflated prices go in with an offer for another watch for your wife/ gf/ mistress etc tongue.gif
