Not in rush also actually.

And I don't expect a call back at today's demand rate smile.gif

I'm using it as an excuse to not spend that said money.
*
don't think the demand will ever slow down and prices do go up almost every year. It's your call cool2.gif
Good luck

Going china n hk next month. Anyone wanna buy smthg? Hahahah

Have a feeling i will find some ready stock sub from AD..
*
Doubt you can find the popular sports models in HK but not sure about China. Anyway with their luxury taxes it can't be cheap?

I think have higher chance to get a sports model in hk, compared to malaysia... Just try luck lu

Or just get a pre owned from hk? They have lots of choicesss
*
Yes your best bet is pre-owned. Since in HK no need to worry about counterfeit products too. See if you can get one in almost mint condition

Wow, just found out Tudor announced a new smaller Black Bay 39mm (and 11.9mm thickness with a 70hr reserve!). I've put off getting the Black Bay because of its dimensions on my 6.5" wrist, but this is perfect now.

I read that it will be released in July. How long does it usually take before it reaches our shore here? I wanna snap it up as soon as it lands really.

The US pricing is USD3,250 for the leather strap version. Any of your sifus know roughly how much it will be here?
*
Yes I have my eyes on this new model too. Looks great in the pictures but not sure in real life. Regular BB are too large for my wrists too. Do post here if you see one land in our shores soon!

Went to one shop at the gardens. Asked agak2 when will the bb58 will be in stock. The salesperson told eh that one very small for girls. Normally people buy as a couple watch.  bangwall.gif
*
Apparently it will be available by end of this month. And no, 39mm is not for girls. They have to start getting knowledgeable sales people

Decent discount, I was only able to get 5% off mine, even with a bundle purchase. I've always liked DJ in blue dial and index, although I would have personally gone for fluted bezel (difficult to find exact specs too, I've tried for some months).
*
7% discount for DJ is pretty standard in both SWG and HG. Bought 1 piece during GST and another after

No wor, at first they only offered me 5%.
*
If you ask me the sales person has the discretion to go up to 7% or possibly slightly more, so it really depends on your relationship with him or her. They make a commission off each piece by the way (except for the professional models apparently) so the higher the selling price the more they make

That's the thing. I try not to ask for too much as they depend on the commission, just like those car salesman. Squeeze too much they won't like it too lah. So usually I'll just ask how much discount, and will not further bargain. If ngam, then I'll take it. If not, I'll give it a pass.
*
Guess I was lucky the sales person from AD offered me 7% straight up without much bargaining. I must add that it was a bundle package too with a sub date but of course I did not get any discount for that

Got a 116710LN months ago, paid around 35, 2.5 is the premium bcz cant find any at offical dealer anymore and batman need to pay way more premium (rmb the guy quoted me around 40+ for new one)

but im still happy thou  smile.gif
*
Bought this piece from SWG KLCC last year at RRP 32K+ but now without GST the price should just be a tad over 30K. This model is the easiest among sports models to obtain from an AD, it just takes abit of time to get to know the sales person and keep bugging him or her until they relent. of course it helps if you have a purchase history

Got lubang for new unit? Of course interested.

Don't encourage the scalpers. I bought 2 sub dates over the last 6 months from AD - all at RRP. Only difference was GST.
It is possible, keep probing and don't give up. Gd luck

I would highly recommend Justin from the Hour Glass, Gardens. Do look him up and see if he can help. All the best.

True. OK, I'll wait patient while menabung..
*
Don't just wait passively thinking that something will happen just because you have placed your name on the so called 'waitlist'. Nothing will happen.
Engage with the sales person with regular communication, make friends with him and of course it helps if you buy a timepiece or two (wife will be happy too!) from him to build the relationship.
Hey- it has to be a win win for all parties right?

same thing with Omega timepieces. got my Seamaster leather strap changed a couple of months ago and when i asked them about what kind of other straps i was able to change to, they said only can change back the same one  sweat.gif

I have an old Carrera Calibre 16 with worn leather straps. Wanted to get a replacement but even the Tag boutique told me to go to LVMH HQ in KL. That's quite a hassle just for a strap. Any other alternatives guys?

that's pretty retarded of them. so much hassle for the customer

The excuse was that they do not carry 'accessories'. But why.....straps are inexpensive, small in size and easy to store.Surely there's a demand rclxub.gif

Can make full payment but no gurantee you'll get that watch at the price when SST kicks in.

Those who paid in full before the GST removal also don't get to enjoy the cheaper price, if I am not mistaken.
*
Are luxury watches taxed under SST? Previously I don't think they attract any duties

Not true. My regular SA at HG Gardens said only increase 3% , which is still lower compared to 6% GST. I believe they have absorbed some SST to remain competitive.
