Any opinions between the rolex explorer, pyster perpetual 39mm and the recent Omega globemaster?

Explorer hands down.

He did mention it's a 116710 and not a BLNR, I think in the earlier post.

But again, he did not say it's not a BLNR as well biggrin.gif

Venomous... clicking this tread was a mistake. Faster run.

r3kahsttub eh I thought you pretty broke with the recent status change in life? wahhh still got money to buy toys.

I'm sending my birth year DJ to service in Menara Dion later... don't change dial, don't change date wheel, don't change hands... i think that's about it...

Thanks.

I really want to wear my TT more often but there are not many places I can wear it. Also, it is a scratch magnet. You can see a deep scratch on the bezel at around 12 o’clock.

This is because Gold is much softer than Steel and will scratch more easily. I have a lot of micro scratches on the bracelet and clasp, all on the Gold parts.

My Sub, Speedy Pro and Datejust has less scratches even though I wear them a lot more than the Daytona.

The cost of being a baller... I feel gold probably not that practical for daily duties, but some people like their pieces to have more "character" with the scratches.

It’s not so much about the bling but the characteristics of Gold.

Gold is warm to the touch. And has a certain organic glow to it that is not present in cold hard steel.

The glow is not very visible in photos or under the cold harsh led lights of the AD. You will need to see it in natural sunlight. It’s a nice afterglow. Kinda like cream colored honey.

Any Gold watch owner will tell you that colored Gold on watches adds character and depth to the watch. Not to mention weight and heft. Lol.

But yeah, main reason here is that my wife partially influenced my decision as she said that she like to see some gold on me to soften my masculinity lines, whatever that means. Lol.

But I think the real reason she asked me to get the two tone is because she wants to wear it too. Lol.
*
And this is why manufacturers offers different materials for the same design, to cater to different tastes and feeling.

Personally I wouldn't consider a gold or two tone or gold DJ (I'd flip it in a heartbeat), but a two tone Master GMT II.. I would. That being said, I didn't look at gold watches cause its too mainstream in China puke.gif

taikor, where have you been? laugh.gif

In hiding. The poison is strong. I been trying to stay away. Last week commissioned my friend to get a used GMT Master II from his boss. A seldom worn vault piece.

Now no GST, show up and see any lubang or not. Seems like sport pieces sold out at ADs.

I was wondering in average how long does it take to service the watch in RSC in menara dion? hope to get back my watch before i fly. Thanks
*
My DJ took about 2 months. Followed instructions of not changing dial, hands and date wheel.

Alas, due to the age of the watch, they called to informed me that they cannot guarantee the water resistance as the case has oxidation and not up to their standards. Replacing the case would mean I will lose my S/N so that’s a no go for me. They were happy to oblige. The staff told me most customers won’t change.

Tried in person? Sometimes the design matters.

Despite 36mm DJ is “small”, the fluted bezel sorta gives it more presence.
