I have a few questions about ear piercing (on the earlobe) that I need some answering. tongue.gif Kinda new to piercings.

I've read a bit on the Net about ear piercings and I understand that generally it's done with either needle or gun? A lot of people seem to be against using gun.. something about "blunt force trauma" which I didn't understand, and something about guns are not clean because they're not sterilised? (Apparently there are risks of Hepatitis infection through using guns.)

Since those stalls don't look really professional, I plan to do my piercing at Poh Kong or some jewellery shop instead. Generally how much do you reckon it would be to do a earlobe piercing at Poh Kong etc?

Thanks for the replies guys! Guess I'll just do it at the Poh Kong near my house.. I'm a little lazy to find these parlours plus it's just a piercing at one ear anyway. tongue.gif

I recently pierced my ear last 2 weeks, and I suppose you can say it's my first time piercing. So when I took off my earring to put on a new one, I seem to FAIL to find the other side of the hole to poke through.. spent some time on it too.

When my mum helped me with it, I think she did poked wrongly that it was painful for a while. Any ideas what I should do? :/ I pierced with a gun btw.

perhaps u took it out too early before it completely healed... from my experience, guns take longer to heal than needles, not sure why tho

ah I see =.=" how long do you reckon it would take to heal?

Crap I think my piercing just closed? wtf. It was bleeding slightly earlier, and now my 'hole' looks like a black dot and if I had to guess, I think my blood dried in it or something? What should I do about it?

if u've taken it out more than few hours, since ur piercing is like 2 weeks old - the hole has closed i'm afraid
u want to have the hole back? wait for few months for it to heal completely b4 gettin' it repierced - but using needles this time

Sigh I feel like slapping myself for taking it out in the first place. I was merely trying to practise wearing one and later had a hard time putting it back in.

Wow a few months is a long period.. thanks for the advice. Do you think one month is a good enough period?

Yeah guess I'll go for needles, although I have somewhat of a phobia of needles. >_> Anyone know of a good piercing parlour in Subang?

a visit to a proper piercing shop and let your ear lobe be checked by the piercer (professional one of course) ...could enable him or her to tell you whether your lobe has fully healed - for me, i've known how to check myself since i've visited my piercer for like umpteenth time tongue.gif

Ah I see tongue.gif Wonder if there are any piercing parlours in Subang? If not.. where are the good piercing parlours around Klang Valley?
