I 1st time pierce ear...want to get one,...izzit painful r? any side effects after pierce like very pain for 1 week?? how much to pierce ear?

Haiyo guys, this morning I woke up my recently pierced ear (abt 1 week ago) was swelled and quite painful. I really do not know why, cause over the 1 week since i pierced nothing was wrong..yesterday my ear was ok..no more pain..then today like this. The only possible reason I can think of is I slept on my ear. But how come until swelled up?

y like dat"? dun scare me la..u mean when pierce and after pierce 1 week not pain no problem at all? then after 1 week only start swelling and become geli?? u got do anything different? like accidentily pull your earring and injure your ear?

I would prefer Subang/sunway/PJ area lah...

And what's the pain factor huh? rate from 1 being the less pain and 5 being excruciating pain. lol
I'm quite afraid of the pain... that's why it took me quite some time with this decision..

Behavior that hinders healing:

Contact between the new piercing and another person's skin or bodily fluids;
Excessive and unnecessary touching of the piercing, especially with unwashed hands;

The healing process and body piercing aftercare
A new piercing will be sore, tender or red for several days up to three weeks. Complete healing normally takes several weeks or more. Below are more specific healing time estimates. During this period, care must be taken to avoid infection. Touching—or, for genital and oral piercings, sexual activity—is usually discouraged.

Primary healing usually takes about as long as is listed below; the jewelry should not be removed during this period. The healing time should not be rushed. Very often a piercing that seemed to be healed will start to have problems when it is handled roughly, exposed to mouth contact or unwashed hands before it has truly healed.

Full healing starts after primary healing is complete and usually takes about as long as primary healing, during this period the skin thickens and starts to gain elasticity. An additional "toughening up" period takes place after full healing is complete, this "toughening up" period also takes about as long as the primary healing time. During "toughening up" the skin remodels itself developing an internal texture in the fistula tube that replaces the shiny scar-like internal surface.



Approximate primary healing times:

Monroe piercing: 6-12 weeks
Bridge: 2-3 months
Cheek/Anti-Eyebrow: 3–6 months
Ear cartilage: 6-12 months
Ear lobes: 6-8 weeks
Eyebrow: 6-8 weeks
Tragus: 6–12 months
Lip / Labret: 3–4 weeks
Nostril: 2-3 months
Septum: 2-3 months
Tongue: 4-6 weeks
Frenulum: 6-8 weeks

Female Nipples: 3-6 months
Male Nipples: 3-6 months
Navel piercing: 4–6 months
Hand web: 1 year
Surface: 6–8 months

Over time, after the piercing, the resulting wound is allowed to heal, forming a tunnel of scar tissue called a fistula. When the piercing has fully healed, the initial jewelry may be changed or removed for short periods.

hhaha i made a mistake la..bad mistake..what i did was i took some anti bacterial like dettol..its i think johnson and johnson la..so I didnt mix with water. I was suppose to mix with water..so what i did was i put concentrated anti bacterial solution on it la..so it kind of burned my skin..i got some cream for pharmacy..looks alot better from that day..

dont use cream....

Dont use cream? I need it to heal the so called burnt from the concentrated anti bacteria solution..I learnt my lesson now..next time im just gonna leave it alone. Now got one darker spot on my ear lobe..SHITTTT

No piercings. Not really into that... and so far, one tattoo on my left arm.

ii. where u got them?
Dragonfly Midvalley.

iii. and tell us about your experiences?
Well... it was pretty exciting I suppose since it was my first. I've always liked tattoos but not to the extent of full body kind etc. Not too excessive. Also, I'm addicted.

iv. Future piercings & tattoo(s) you plan to have?
One more tattoo hopefully within this next few months. Ultimately I'd like a half-sleeve and stop there.

I'm still considering two more piercings .. sob sob I have no time and no guts to go get one of the two xD

no more piercings for me...

but tattoos.. thr are so many tattoos i wanna get! have to give up on my bday tatt at the moment due to financial constraint. hoping to get a half sleeve in the future
