emm.....those where you no longer feel the area where u just got pierced? tongue.gif

those which pain still lingers, after u slept and woke up

those where u feel pins and needles on and off inside ur piercing area.....pins and needles of sharp pains hitting very fast but occassionally

nice tattoo - but why would they flame on the design you did?
prolly cos' of the tattoo being religion-related?

yea it's best to avoid tattoo that involves / draw spirits - for own safety reasons amongst many others
but that's a whole big issue of debate on that all together

Suiteng: Yo yo smile.gif Nice to meet u here .. (finally.. have been following all your posts since june blush.gif )

Hahaha.. I wish it was just religious.. smile.gif Being 30yrs into Buddhism biggrin.gif Hahaha U throw me anything about religion part of it I can handle la.. My wife and I got a tattoo to actually commemorate our marriage.. She got a Lotus under a Celtic Cross to signify our union (she's a catholic and I'm a buddhist) biggrin.gif hence union of religions as well..

Myself, I had to think real hard what to put permanently on my body for this commemoration tattoo.. hence I searched the net for something that inspires me most smile.gif (note: now I dun have to wear a buddha necklace anymore hahaha)

What I did was search the free ideas, tattoo designs site online.. and compared it with all the already tattooed pics that can be found and I found this Tribal tattoo which i think would look good smile.gif Brought it to my tattooist and we did a few modifications on design and wife chose to add colour to it and our tattooist improved on her idea for colour.. and walla.. something to be proud of..

My problem only started when I posted on MTC site tongue.gif~~ apparently my tattooist has a flamer gang against their shop and this pic's post has been a centre of negative attention hence on.. smile.gif Hahaha.. Dun worry I am mighty proud of Black Cat Studios.. they did a wonderful job on my wife's and my tattoo.

What i didn't know before was there's a tattoo war going on hahahaha.. I am just caught in the cross fire. Still I think your group here with SuiTeng, yourself and the rest of the Lowyat crowd (a.k.a. Malaysian Body Mod) are friendlier hahahaha. Its a good thing.

9lives: perhaps you're right wink.gif Its 7th month after all and Buddha statues/images like temples do attract alot of so called lower beings like moths to a flame.. sigh

hey BCO...i must say its very unique...very oriental..to me it wouldn't be a problem at all..and its good that you are very proud of it...kudos!

personally I'd prefer to have the yellow part in either red or black..but its just very minor..tongue.gif

nice.......

Haha.. smile.gif Thanks Mr Philips. Had a lot of trouble figuring out whats best for the rings / halo and rays actually.. firstly my wife and I wanted it in shocking red.. all out.. but figured it'd look way too much like the Japanese flag hahaha.. after much deliberation, came out with this color scheme instead.. the yellow on top is to show enlightenment.. and bring a lil color to the whole tribal pic.

smile.gif Hahaha.. no.. on the contrary.. U can check out their work, its pretty darn good, go search Black Cat tattoo Studio on your facebook. U will see what i mean. Besides a good friend of mine who's like bad-ass tattooed all over recommended them to me and I trust his judgment.. He owns a design and animation company.. and I am but a humble oil rigger.. tongue.gif leave the creative decisions to creative ppl..

Prior to opening in Sunway, they were based in Malacca.. but business has been good in Sunway and their portfolio's solid. biggrin.gif Flaming started after they posted their work on MTC.. tongue.gif Dunno la.. jealous tattoist ka.. over-zealous fans of other tattooist ka.. tongue.gif~~ no difference.

Either that or I am yong sui lor.. hahahaha.. But anyhow firstly the flaming was aimed at the shop.. then at my so called copying the idea off the net.. I mean wtf la.. I am not a designer la pls and I like a particular picture posted on a free ideas, tattoos site.. like that also the flamer make into a Post Topic on MTC.. sigh.. As I defended: Imitation is the best form of flattery.. and modification is but a progression of life. We modified the idea, which was originally this.. so make that three modifications off the original.. still the flamer persists.. sigh sad sad..

Attached Image to Attached Image to Attached Image

P/S: I will still be on the oil rig till 10th Sept.. so I will have to look forward to the pics posted instead.. wink.gif hahaha but I will definitely join u all in spirit!!

Added on August 19, 2008, 10:53 amWas thinking of adding a lotus under the buddha in the same colour of the ring rays meaning a black red lotus to complete the picture this time around but.. the bottom robes already look good enough as a leg sleeve..

We had to modify the idea pretty much around the bottom robes and hair area coz the finer lines did not really match the body robes.. and with my wife's good eye for colors, she suggested we color the rays and halo so it won't look so bland.

U know.. pretty much when i started learning about buddhism.. this left picture was the very first one i had up on my wall and in my books when i was 13-14 yrs old. hahaha.. a Looooooooong time ago.

sam: yaksha tribe tattoo and black cat totally different le.

i think its common that ppl tend to be protective over their tattooist. its a loyalty thing. i'm very incline towards my own tattooist as well, and never thot of getting inked from other places (well except international artists la..) when u get tattooed by the artist, a 'special relationship' is formed becos of the trust u have in him prior to getting ink. n tattoo being a very personal thing and he is the one who permanently etch it into ur skin..so yea.

of cos, this doesnt apply to lousy wannabe tattooists that produce fugly works and lousy services.

tubes: tongue piercing, never try before....but from my galfriends who had their tongue pierced, their comment was 'pain for a short while', like lasting for few hours
what you can eat and not, your piercer would be able to advise you appropriately

typically for any piercings, no seafood for the first 2 weeks to be safe

you would be wearing a longer barbell for tongue piercing, and then to a shorter one when the swelling has gone down

xsaintx - thanks! I'm enlightened smile.gif

leon - no comment tongue.gif

sui teng - sorry can't make it for the yam cha tonight
i too bz kai kai in KL today tongue.gif

Agree with SaintX tongue.gif but on top of a RM12000 airfare not inclusive of hotel and food.. tongue.gif add cost of tattoo by pro.. Easily 20K for one small tattoo.. tongue.gif

Which one of us dun wish to be appearing on next episode of LA & Miami Ink if not be a face in the crowds of a Tattoo war..but when u put those into consideration.. abit hard to get them unless they come down for a tattoo show etc..

SuiTeng: Thanx smile.gif Will keep a lookout on your next one if I am in town.
