I ordered the AMP Extreme model from zotac, and waiting confirmation on A GALAX HOF

In titan x we have tested that powerlimit is limited to 90 but tdp is limited to 65.

The card will throttle at 65c. When u exceed 300watts.

Go for ref n get evga hybrid cooler. Its sold seperately.

Its performance is insanely good.

I am getting two units of strix. Because of the sound db.

Here is the thing about that 980ti extreme amp, n giga g1.

The cooler is huge n heavy. I can see why they need a backplate because of warping.

Ppl running this with that length n weight... Ure gonna see sagging.

Vertical mount ok. But horizontal??

Strix still looks okay n so does the nornal amp

But amp extreme n arctic extreme looks too heavy.

Matrix n hof pcb are wider n hence my opinion the weight is distributed. But the longer ones????

Wait n see dude.

But for cost n performance.. A ref 980ti with evga hybrid cooler.

1. funny why worry about sag, when card go out of date in 9 months @_@.

How heavy was the card?

My card slightly over 1kg and no problems. Can see sag a bit but never had any concerns with it.

not all DCU2 are tri-slot.

as to how far a card bends, that depends very much on the build of the heatsink, how the heatsink is mounted and whether the card comes with back plate.

Thr card will clock maybe 50mhz less than a non ref pcb. In the end its all about the asic.

Amp is a ref card. Atleast you wont suffer the coil whine like giga 980ti g1 has. Assuming ref 980ti has the same manufactoring tech as titan x.

I more often found gigabyte to tweak the power limit of their cards, which vaguely translate to more headroom for overclocking.

But again, OC is still more about the luck of the draw, depend on the potential and capability of the chip itself. If you are lucky enough for a good chip, you may hit the OC potential before being capped by the power limit.

Maxwell is an OC beast, my Zotac 970 (cheapest model) reached 1.5k boost clock with stock voltage and cooler.
