Moderation is the key. I also tempted to jump straight to 980, but after doing some research and the fact that i'm not going to go more than 1080p lead me to 970 + SSD, and worth it!

According to Korean tech publication HWBattle, the GTX 980 Ti will feature fewer CUDA cores than the GeForce GTX TITAN-X, at 2,816. NVIDIA gets that count by disabling 2 of the 24 SMM (streaming multiprocessor Maxwell) units on the GM200 silicon. The texture memory unit (TMU) count will be proportionately lower, at 176 (compared to 192 on the GTX TITAN-X). The ASIC bears the model number GM200-310, according to older reports.

Somehow I really worry about the GTX 980Ti disabled portion of SMM........who knows what nvidia will disable without telling anyone (GTX970 3.5GB+0.5GB)

Hi, i just want to ask someone here. I am about to replace my old gpu from msi gtx 560 to gtx 960. is it ok or i need to change psu (now using 550w CM psu). do my old mobo and i5 3450 support new gpu or i need to change all my cpu to use new gtx 960. thanks
