why so many people can have awesome SOT even without Rooting....... put screen brightness on 40 % no matter what time of day and?

When I connect my usb cable from my Note 4 to my computer it doesn't recognised my Note 4. I have already installed the latest version of Kies 3 with samsung driver. I noticed when I first purchased my Note there was no problem but after updating the various updates, I am facing this problem. I have tried attaching the usb cable to two computers to test and still faced with the same problem. Anyone facing this problem after updating firmware? Any solution?

For me I'm also about 3 hours ++ screen on time, with at least 2.5 days to 3 days standby time

I think over 5 hours screen on time can be achieved if use up the battery within the same day. But not using the phone so frequently at the moment

Haha my standby time only 17 hours + definitely wont last more than 24 hours....

Barely touching my phone when at work from 9 till 6... but during that duration it drop from 90% till 50% ! i was like wtf ? Thats why i was so shocked when so many can get awesome SOT without turning much of any features off at all.....

some apps must have been sucking the battery..or the signal problem...

Possibly there are apps blocking the phone from entering deep sleep mode. Try removing those first..

well the signal in my office here is super bad.... maybe that have something to do with the battery ?

Your phone signal will also cause the battery to drop. If your signal in your office is always 2 to 3 bar, and it keep changing from E to H to LTE. Then there will be huge battery drain.

Is there any app that can determine what apps prevent my phone form entering deep sleep? i dont even have that much apps to be honest .... i can imagine whatsapp, wechat n facebook running background all the time...

yea perhaps that is the main reason ... really hard to get full bar unless your pure outdoor all the time.. now i put my phone in airplane mode see if they changes anything

bro the answer is one of the below:
If it is an app draining the battery, have a look at what apps that consume most power from the list under "settings" - "power saving"
If u see any particular app that keep showing up in the top 3 u found the culprit. Next would be uninstall the app or find a way to deal with it. If through app setting it still drains battery then Greenify could be your solution here

It also could be a telco coverage issue causing battery drain. If your phone signal fluctuates a lot between 2G-3G-LTE, that will reduce battery life as well. Simple way to fix it is to lock to 3G or 2G, and only enable 2G/3G/LTE when wanna use mobile data

But from past experience, most of the time it is an app related problem

if u r working..barely use ur phone..try switching to ultra power saving...

Might as well put in airplane mode i guess...

Airplane mode u can't make/receive calls as all wireless connection is off
But in ultra power savings the background sync are all turned off but mobile network remain on

oh awesome i just realized that i can still online while in ultra mode.... this is so much useful compared to the ultra saving mode on xperia z3... at least i can do something while on it....

I think it is useful as u can choose few frequently used apps to enable background sync while wipe out the rest
I think this is among the best feature Samsung have done for Note 4

Though not apps are supported.. for me theres only twitter facebook whatsapp and internet browser...
Still better nothing at least my phone stays smart in ultra saving mode and not become a dumbphone...

Im so scared with the protruding camera of the note 4.... that big ass camera lens looks so fragile and exposed... never had that feeling with note 2.. this looks like a tumour even when compared to iphone 6... Wish samsung at least put sapphire crystal on it...

Its a beautiful designed phone with awesome build quality so to put a case to cover it seems so sad....
