Hi sifus out there, i plan to root my phone after 2 weeks usage. Do i need to unlock the bootloader which will clean wipe my phone?

Or I can just root it without impacting anything in the phone?
*
No need unlock bootloader
Rooting just do it using Odin n no data will be deleted

I can feel that note 4 really a bit low on signal, compare iphone 6+ at the same place, or other android phone i have

However battery seem last longer than iphone 6+
*
My experience is reverse...using Celcom postpaid I could easily get LTE while the ip6+ struggle with H only. Same scenario signal strength was lowwr too when I was in KL area
Ip6+ battery is amazingly great n this is the only feature that impresses me.

Damn. I was at pyramid hoping to feel the edge but they didnt have it there yet. Considering a switch. laugh.gif
*
Personally I find it not worth to switch unless the increment needed is merely RM100-200! The current pricing is way over excessive
Phone performs exactly as Note4 n only advantage ( if one see it as advantage) is the added edge

Bro Benny

Will there be an issue if I root my phone to debloat some apps? I mean if I need to send it for Warranty claim as I already had my warranty claim being refuted from HTC as I have rooted my phone.
*
Hard to say. Personally I had successfully claim 5X for past 8 years at Samsung LowYat n ex Plaza Berjaya.
But it seem lately Samsung had tighten its warranty claim policy. So just try your luck.
Even if you unroot it the Knox remains triggered. Well many had said this will void warranty but my experience with ex Note3 I had no issues claiming. Apparently the Tech just ignore the knox stuffs

Personally I had never like Chrome n I must say is worst Android browser for me. My favorite is Boat n this is consistently main browser in all my Androids. Followup is Dolphin or CM

wah nice.. how much your anker?

Uncle Benny, may I know what option you ticked in the experimental features? Did you tick all?

Also on when you mentioned hybernate all except whatsapp and one more app you mentioned. did you really mean everything that was shown in greenify when you click +?

appreciate your advice.
*
Only greenify system app. Rest I never even bother
Yes EVERYTHING
I just ignore some warning that will prompt up about not advisable for system app . Nothing to worry as core system app you won't be approve to greenify it

Hi guys, just wanna ask -
interested in getting the Singapore Note 4: SM-N910G.

Just a few questions:
(1): What happens if i need to claim warranty? Can i do it at any local Samsung branch? I am from Penang, btw.
(2): Where to get SM-N910G? Do i need to travel down to Singapore to get it? Or i can get DirectD to get it for me?
(3): What happens when i wanna get updates? Like firmware updates/ software updates? Can i just download it from Penang, Malaysia?

Thanks heaps.
*
SPORE sets you can only claim in Singapore.
If you get from directd just sent it back to them to handle it
Updates can be downloaded at any place
Why would you even consider Spore set when most reviews point the Exynos version is better

You can use Note3 stylus but it won't fit into the slot. The Note3 stylus is comparatively less sensitive.

Hey anybody got problem with My.haikexue.com pop ups while mobile browsing? Try to use adblocker but to no avail. Scanned using kaspersky but it said no virus found. Looked at the Internet and it suggests that I fix my chrome browser in my pc. Like wtf? Anybody knows how to remove it?
*
All such popup ads normally due to install of non official or pirated app. Only solution is factory reset n do not ever install such app.
You can try first uninstall such app before factory reset

QUOTE(vivakarna @ Feb 24 2015, 09:27 AM)
in dilemma right now between note 4 and iPhone 6+

The plus point if I take the iphone, My apple ecosystem will be completed. Already got macbook and investing so much on iTunes.

The negative point, I'm afraid I'll not like the iOs as a daily driver because all this time, my phone is always be an android.

My friend switch to the iOs for only a day and he sold off the iphone to get android.

Enlighten me please..hehe
*
Ip6+ is a good phone n I viewed its strength only its much better battery life. I gave it up after a month trying to use as daily phone. Main reason is its very restrictive closed file system making it totally unproductive. If below are important you will hate ip6+
- cannot send any other attachment except video n photo in mail app. There is a Backdoor way to do it but I view it as inefficient. You need a separate paid app to send multiple attachment
- there is no good file explorer app at all n is a puzzle locating your downloads
- mail attachments miserably slow to download
- you cannot attach any external media eg thumb droves n extra sdcard to it. It wont read such devices
- sharing of stuff from Facebook, tweeter, RSS feeds very very poor n limited. Ios 8.1 had improved this but very slightly only

After a month I gave it away as a gift to relative's son

u mean samsung fast charging also cant compete with iphone's battery capacity?

or the fast charging is just some useless marketing gimmick?
*
Fast charging only speed up charging. It is not to improve battery life
My experience ip6+ battery life about double that of Note4. The phone battery level hardly drop when idle . You need not install any app or tweak to get great battery life from ip6+

Ive searched sammobile and some different sites. both sites 4.4.4 but firmware version slighly different. Need to be exact dont want SC people make noise if I send in anything for warranty in future
*
As long as you download ANY Malaysian firmware , you are fine. NOT necessary must install back default firmware that come with the hone. I had NEVER any problems claiming warranty on a higher updated M'sian firmware

Alrighty then. Thanks for the info.

Even with knox triggered I could claim for Note3. Seems they don't bother with such stuffs n I yet to hear anyone failing to claim due to knox triggered. Rooting yes - there are cases of claiming fail but yet also many cases claim successful with rooted phones

uncle benny, it actually depend on luck who you encounter and which SC... like last time i panicked because they say rooted... sorry your phone cant claim warranty... so do all the stuff to make sure phone unroot. not just that, they check the count... so I have to fix that too... lucky managed and got my warranty... All they need to do was to do some GPS caliberation for me... is not even warranty claim... so real sucky feeling to tell you...

I think I need to ask you where you'd go so I will go to the same SC for warranty.. hehe... tongue.gif
