It was 3 years ago, around end of 2011, some M'sian politicians were boasting how strong the Ringgit were (1 USD = RM2.95), and people are dumping their foreign assets to invest in Malaysia, Malaysia has the strongest economy among ASEAN countries, they were pissing at US Fed for QE and saying US is heading into 2nd dip worst than 2009 because Obama's policy isn't work, millions of Americans are out of jobs, many Malaysians were returning to Malaysia - blah - blah.

Fast forward today... now they realized they were wrong.  tongue.gif

Nope, is people that simply following this were stupid. Is part of speculator's game.
Donkey years ago, when rm3.80 dropped back to rm3, where's that money gone hmm.gif
And now, from rm3 to rm4.20, again, where the money goes again hmm.gif

well, anything we can import from russia or brazil? their currencies are screwed worse. biggrin.gif

for bawang and essential foodstuff, some are still subsidized, right? i see a possibility of increase subsidy.
or special coops to handle "special" subsidies or food stamps for special groups?

other foods like pricey fish, pricey beef, someone must be thinking of ways to slap gst on it, so better enjoy now. tongue.gif

From Brazil, we can import sugar cane whistling.gif
Sugar cane's price already very low while sugar price in Malaysia still all time high. So whoever manufacture sugar will gain shakehead.gif
Jibgor is right on this, really have people benefit from it shakehead.gif

I've been thinking, do Malaysians really want the people overseas to come back? . If there are 1 million Malaysians working overseas, and they all come back to work in Malaysia, that is 1 million more people fighting for (mostly professional) jobs, more cars on the streets, more demand for properties resulting in higher prices etc.

With government's racial policy, I doubt so. Even those "being help" races that once work in overseas don't bother to come back shocking.gif
