1 pit without changing tyre, only refuelling.....and it works...last night 5 of us did test race...pit times reduce from 68sec to 48sec... BUT average laptimes increase +0.5s with hard compound compare with medium compound.........

will try using medium compound without changing the tyre during pit...want to see it can tahan or not...

although race times set to 45mins, but in actual less than that...21laps in 39mins plus...so can plan the fuel strategy..

GTR2 League Preview

This weekend LYN GTR2 League will commence with the first round in Monza circuit. Currently 14 drivers have sign up for the league and they are :

Ferrari 550 : #1 linkinstreet, #2 Raikkonen, #22 PcCrazy
Ferrari 575 GTC : #11 KeyzerSoze, # 13 ryugan, #17 evoHahn
Lamborghini : #24 Alan, # 26 Madnoren, # 29 IzzNatta
Saleen : #4 Voivod, #5 gkl83, #28 RonMD
Lister : #27 kimi
Maserati : #33 smokey

The league will have 11 rounds; starting with Monza, Valencia, Magny-Cours, Hockenheim, Brno, Donington, Spa, Imola, Oscherleben, Dubai and finally Zhuhai. Each leg of the championship will race for 45 minutes. To encourage better driver skill amongst the participant, the only driving aids allowed is auto clutch.

And to enhance realism, the league will adopt the New Advance Physics (NAP) patch that offers less tyre traction. GTR2 is made by Simbin game studio.

After discussion with yazid regarding the finish race times issue, we may change the race duration from 45mins to 25laps...this will add more interesting on the pit strategy...

As u know max fuel = 12 laps (pushing hard) but can go up to 13 or 14 laps if drive normal (sometime push sometime not)....the interesting part...if u want to push all the way...u may have to do 2 pitstop...else 1 pit is enough but not fast...your choice..

Are u guys agree with 25laps race? Please give a feedback...

25 laps ok lar for a start - maybe we'll change according to track - somebody need to do some calculations

well, if we are racing 25 laps, its close to 45 minutes already.

Monza = 1.48 (avg) * 25 laps = 45 minutes
Brno = 1.55 (avg)*25 laps = 48 minutes

EDIT ; But spa is a NO :

lets say; 1 lap - 2.20 (avg) *25 laps = 58 minutes!!!!

ok i think the number of laps we change according to the track but the race duration minimum will be 45mins (45mins to 50mins race)....we start race early...by 11pm can finish & chit chat until 11:30pm.

Great, but it's a difficult task for me but nevertheless I'm ready.

My bro prefer the old physics while I prefer NAP, So it's kinda tedious to change back and forth between the two. All this time I'm away, he is the one playing gtr2 all night long. Well what to do, just have one momo right now.

As for the strategy wise, I should start immediately as the race is just around the corner. I'm prepared to get smoked anyway.

no need tu push...if u clock at 1:50, just try to be consistent from lap 1 to lap 25...can guarantee finish in top 5...silap2 podium finish...hehehe

I did some test laps last nite for racing setup this Sunday I would not divulge the lap times here ( strategy woo... ); i think i'm not fast in my Q setup but imho be able to be competetive in race setup

kimi lebih baik pakai kete saleen boleh satu team dgn aku, lagi pun voivod kata dia cam tak main lagi aje, jadi kau boleh jadi teammate aku nanti senang kita nak sharing setup beb.

yeah la kimi, to be more competetive...use only this car Ferrari, Saleen, Lambo or Maserati....still got time to practise....hehehe

betul tu - F3 league rfactor, my qualify time normally puts me in the mid of the pack, but i normally can jump a few cars during start thanks to the clutch - tapi time race tak pakai pun (tak reti - )
in gtr2 i use clutch to get out of sandtrap???

kalu takde clutch pedal - try use button for clutch? ive not tried it but maybe usable during launch
