If you want to save money, try to find NEX-6. Most store are clearing them out and bundle them with 55-210 lense.

Kindly recommend which to buy? is samsung bulky & heavy? how much is the market price for 2nd samsung? or any other brand and models would be better.. thank you so much. you just go with mirrorless system, it's not as bulky and heavy as dslr, you won't go wrong with this. i'm just not so into samsung tbh. maybe you can do more research and see. sony, olympus and fuji are good brands. which model should be depending on your budget. |

I read review commenting both are good. NX300 is excellent camera. the upcoming prime lens is EXTREMELY good, some even say better than Canon and Nikon's best lens, at a fraction of the costKindly recommend which to buy? is samsung bulky & heavy? how much is the market price for 2nd samsung? or any other brand and models would be better.. thank you so much. ZR1500 is totally different, it's a fixed lens camera though right? NX300 is around RM1500-1700 new with kit lens Why people don't heed my advice on getting Olympus PL5 kit ? Price drop kaw kaw If you don't need changing lens, Get Olympus XZ2. Super super excellent camera, and price also drop kaw kaw ! RM980+- now !!!! |

PL6 can change lens. XZ2 cannot. But the XZ2's lens is better than the standard lens that comes with PL6. You'll get sharp, beautiful images. There's one camera shop in midvalley also selling the XZ2 around RM950 I personally use Fuji XF1. You can check out how beautiful the images are https://www.flickr.com/groups/fujixf1/ do check out the XZ2 flickr group too Just because it's fixed lens, doesn't mean it's worse than DSLR The Fuji X100s is fixed lens, but has achieve iconic status for the images I used to be in dilemma of what camera to buy. Then one answer struck me - "The best camera is the one with you" . I put my XF1 in my work laptop bag. I just take it out whenever I feel I want to capture something. Please check out XZ2 |

http://www.cameravalley.com.my/products-a-...category_id=227 the major drawback of Fuji ILC ,yeah the lens is pricey and also ,the AF.and no face detection This post has been edited by kernel123: Jan 14 2015, 05:10 PM |

QUOTE(kable2509 @ Jan 15 2015, 05:22 PM) I was looking for a cam in similar range.. still not convinced over SAMSUNG to be the best in camera.. If you are not into too serious photography or lens hog, samsung nx will do the job just fine unless you are looking into serious telephoto lens (>200mm). One of the nicest touchscreen, wifi and user interface ever. Their prime lens selection is adequate enough. Or wait till nx400/500 with evf comes out supposedly this year. Or better well known mirrorless will be sony a6000 (camera of the year 2014) which has better feature and evf than nx300 but they say the kit lense bundled is crap compare to nx kit 16-50 pz so may need additional investment on the lense. However will recommend this for sport shooters or soccer mom for its autofocus speed and burst rate. Olympus E-PL series is also nice if you want small cameras and tons of lense options. Only thing to consider is the m4/3 size sensor being smaller than sony and samsung apsc. Also if not mistaken before E-PL7, the older models has less tech feature (no focus peaking, confusing user interface) and low LCD resolution making manual focus a headache. So get the latest E-PL7 with 1mil dot LCD touchscreen if possible. If not into lens collection, would suggest just getting sony RX100. |

If you aren't that picky with the ability to burst shoot and you want to take pics just to share on Facebook, I would consider QX1. Only issue with QX1 is there is no live view. You will need cellphone or ipod touch as your viewer.

okay. let me give you the exact requirements.
I had a powershot sx30 before, addicted to long range zoom after that, but had to sacrifice on aperture while using it in low light. Was taking some shots in lampu 2014 and it fell along with the tripod it was on and the motor shattered. So planning to upgrade now. My friend suggested me to go for a better bridge camera. I am planning for a mirrorless/dslr. so long range zoom lens and better lowlight are my requirements. |

QUOTE(treblecase @ Jan 17 2015, 01:53 PM) Possible. Sony dsc-hx400V has 1/2.3" Sensor meaning crop factor of 5.2 (correct me if im wrong). It is 24-1200mm equivalent if the camera has 35mm size sensor. So actual focal length of the lens is 4.6-230mm roughly. Also the aperture is f2.8 wide and f6.3 at tele end. Disclaimer: This is rough calculation based what I know and gather so may not be entirely accurate. This post has been edited by DaddyO: Jan 17 2015, 04:04 PM |
