Should we stay with ospina or bring back szczesny? I think arsenal should stay with ospina for the while.
*
If it was up to me, I will even terminate his contract early and pay him compensation so that he can take his smug face and fk off from the Emirates asap.

Then #1 goalie would be Ospina. Martinez can play for League Cup/FA Cup next season. While Ospina plays in BPL and UCL.

and speaking of Ospina/Szczesny.

I wonder what Szczesny thinks/feels when the crowd keeps chanting OOOSPINA whenever he goes to kick the ball and he is there on the subs bench warming the seats...

Must be very demotivating/demoralising that all these years he doesn't even get such a good treatment/love from the fans. But Ospina newcomer instant hit with the fans. Hmm..

Napoli approached Arsenal on deadline day to sign Coquelin but Arsenal rejected as he is due to sign a contract extension. (Sky Italia)

Eurosport: Coquelin's wages will increase from £10k-a-week to £40k-a-week with his new contract.

Imagine Reus/Sanchez competing for LW spot, Özil/Cazorla for AM, Theo/Ox for RW etc..fuhhhh
*
but can the ego be contained? There will be a clash of egos surely. Because everyone above is a 1st team material. So whoever gets dropped to be 2nd choice would definitely be unhappy.

E.g. Theo wanted to play ST position so much that unless the club promised to give him chances he didn't want to sign a new contract with Arsenal.

Another I can think of is Ozil as well. Ozil is the prima donna kind of player, so if he gets dropped often in favour of Cazorla or others it would definitely be a problem as well.

As for Reus and Sanchez, wow I can't even imagine what happens if either one is dropped to be a 2nd choice.

Imho
Santi will be on sub soon just like rosicky. They can be the impact player but not regular starters.
*
. . . . . . . . . . . shakehead.gif

All these while Santi has been starting and has been the impact in the team, no? Especially in December/January where one could even say, he outshone Sanchez. Hence a no brainer why he was voted for Fan's player of the month consecutively for both December & January.

So, how can he not be a regular starter? What's wrong? He isn't old, yet. So he got no issues with tired legs, etc. + he's now in top form, starting him from the bench would be a big terrible waste imo.

Thoughts on Wilshere?

Hmm. Wonder how he's going to make his way back to starting 11 with Le Coq firmly cementing his place as a regular starter, then with Rosicky/Cazorla all on form right now and Ozil/Ramsey improving as well.

Being photographed holding a shisha pipe certainly wouldn't help his case.

Serves Arsene right IMO.  Not surprised tbh.

Arsene admitted himself Alexis was in the red zone and there was absolutely no need to play Alexis vs Brighton yet he did it anyway.

It happened with Rambo last year and this year its Alexis turn to be overplayed into the ground.

Fortunately Theo, Mesut and Aaron have returned just in time.
*
But also I feel Sanchez takes it too much on himself at times too. Remember before this he got warned 2 times from training staffs for appearing in training the next day after a match?

So yeah, while Wenger has the ultimatum on decisions, but I guess it's because Sanchez himself also puts too much strain on himself (which in turn pressures Wenger to give him some play time). He wants to play every second of every game, but he is just human like us after all. So all this strain ultimately adds up and then boom it will give way.

But as you said, with Theo Mesut and Aaron back, and with our performance the past 2-3 games, if we continue on with it, we wouldn't have a problem.
Cazorla + Rosicky both hot on fire right now too. thumbup.gif

Wenger on Wilshere: "He is sorry for what happened. He is not a smoker. He had a day off the next day. Down to him to master his life."

Welbeck can run, don't worry.

5-0 win tonight.

Hehehe.
*
I know that, what I meant was a true winger. Like someone who will just mow down the defenders if left unchecked. Welbeck tends to drift outwards (then wait for a Giroud to appear to cross the ball into), Walcott on the other hand drifts inwards into the box and takes the chance for himself. Hmm.

I assume Welbeck will be on the left wings, Ozil on the right wing and Cazorla CAM?

Anyway, COYG! Interesting match. Pity Alexis though, such a hardcore player + a derby match and he can only watch.
