Anyway BASF-PETRONAS Chemicals or BPC is the very bestttttttttttttt place start to built your foundation in O&G. Trust me I know because I work in (maaf dirahsiakan lulz) project.

Tolong jangan lepaskan peluang untuk memasuki BPC. I saw a lotsa ex-BPC already working at Middle East earning very big big fat salary.

For me dealing with racism is just a piece of cake, similar like us Sarawakian labeled as pendatang, orang duduk atas pokok remarks by Peninsular peoples but yet we are cool of that. I cannot blame ignorance of peoples mindset.

Unless kalau diorang offer kau as Operation/Production Exec lain cerita - this one okay. Kalau setakat naik Maintenance Exec sahaja baik jangan.

Kerja shift sahaja is the lubuk nak buat duit lulz.

supersound I think you really ada vengeance towards Petronas bro. Sorry for my wild accusation. Aku rasa tak semua ada rotten apples in Petronas. There are so many great talents were born from Petronas, for example like Tan Sri Hassan Merican and Rafizi Ramli. Thats is why headhunters from Middle East are really look forward to employ Malaysian from Petronas background working experience.

And three of us here sudah derailed from this thread objective. This thread discussing about BASF-Petronas Chemicals Sdn Bhd - a 60% 40% JV between BASF and Petronas Chemicals Group (PCG) whereby BPC is the operator of plant facilities on behalf of JV partner.

I might be wrong, but BPC and PETRONAS HR policy mungkin tak sama.

BPC is operating the plant facilities on behalf of JV partner, even recruitment process pun tak ada campur tangan dari PETRONAS, semua done by their own BPC staff.

I think there are small group of Instep technician seconded from PETRONAS to BPC for on job training.

Maaf jika fakta saya salah. Tolong betulkan statement saya ya.

Abang sekarang ini market O&G sangat merudum bang. Cukurlah dapat kerja walaupun on CONTRACT BASIS. Competition untuk mendapatkan kerja sangat sukar sekarang bang. Cukurlah.

Abang if you want to earn good money in O&G contract basis employment is the way it should be. Being a permanent staff kurang sikit gaji but the benefit is good. Jadi pekerja kontrak benefit kurang sikit in term on medical, bonus, leave and such. It depend on what kind of packages that BASF-PETRONAS Chemicals (BPC) offer to you. If they offer 13 month salary - bermaksud ada fixed satu bulan bonus contract. Begitulah pendapat saya. Tengok dulu betul2 package contract-hire BPC offer macam mana.

If you ask me aku lebih suka jadi pekerja kontrak. Takde pening kepala KPI ape jadah semua. Pening bro KPI kena nak buat quarterly. Aku takda masa for those kind of things. Currently I am employed under contract basis too but not with BPC lah. Aku kerja dengan kompeni biasa2 sahaja.

Begitulah pendapat saya yang mentah dan khilaf dalam industry petrokimia related O&G ini.

I don't know. You need to ask those Ops. Tech who work at Middle East currently. Lotsa Malaysian working at Middle East right now on contract basis. Ask supersound. He is in Qatar right now.

If you employed under contract basis, increment will be at sole discretion of your employer. So kau kenalah pandai2 mark-up gaji kau at early stage hehehehehehehe

That is why I like to make friends with recruiter & headhunter because they know the latest salary benchmark in the market for certain position and they know their client budget when looking for peoples to fill in the position.
