For that amount of price with the 3 cylinder 1.2L engine is considered very expensive, car is light and chassis is quite soft. Just felt unsafe sitting in that car, personal feeling though.

people wanted an eco car that sips petrol and light baru-lah beli this kereta. myself is a proud owner of this car. chassis where got soft? is the suspension that is soft la adoi doh.gif ... only owners whom care to tune their suspension and ride setup baru ok. which car in boleh-land that is imported is not expensive leh? people pay RM200k for a shakehead.gif BMW 316 is considered cheap vs an Passat 1.8 / A3 1.8T? doh.gif apa logik?

it's very simple - there are so many choices of cars out there for any price range - you buy whichever you like and you think is a good for money's worth. just because every tom dick and harry likes a Vios and City doesn't mean I have to follow them right icon_idea.gif ?

their 3 cyclinder shake worst than a axia !
you should do an extensive test drive like more than 30 minute to feel the car

blink.gif i owned this car practically for 2 years - i don't see how it can shake - hmm.gif the only reason i think it shakes more than an axia is that ur lying.

PLEASE POST A YOUTUBE VIDEO to show how is the so-called engine shaking in a Attrage 1.2 icon_idea.gif ! cakap buat serupa bikin ya ... otherwise u can all talk ayam sahaja ...

Lol...there u go, I think to sum it all...its just Malaysian mentality....

Overpriced? Based on what? 1.2l engine? If so...what about fiesta? 1.0l selling at what price???

No steering control? Errer.....some Toyoda ada ada marque car at around that price range also don't have, some don't even have leather draped steering

Looks? Well that's just personal taste

Underpowered? Errr.....have u guys compared its specs? Its no where underpowered.....but yeah ...its not all that powerful....I would say its more than adequate.

NVH? This is very biased...as its all about ur feel....get it tested with some noise indictor on all the cars and show me the facts..any times its all in the head...judgement is almost always clouded by their 1ST impression and perception, e.g PROTON, enuff said...nobody even wanna give it a fair chance even though some cars are better than their Japanese competitor...but hey its a proton everything MUST suck right?

3 piston? Well if u guys know anything bout engine, 3cylinders actually give better torq, and less moving parts to replace...oh and the exhaustxsound from a 3 cyl. Sometimes sounds like a Scooby...nice...

And...the list can go on....so yeah...ppl that do buy the cad r ppl that actually just appreciate the car for what it is...nothing more nothing less...
*
thumbup.gif good thinking bro - at least ur talking from the right perspective - i find that Malaysians are funny people - they talked as though their perception of something outweights the talk of people whom actually owned one of this car ! lol doh.gif rolleyes.gif

European? How to compare when they can get much much much better cars at a price of proton?

Correct iriz is much better spec......in fact iriz is much better than most cars on the road much better than cars in it's class and also cars above its class....but why ppl still buying other cars and not that many iriz on the road....simple...mentality lor..as I mention...PROTON AH....useless one lah..PROTON where can buy geh...its a PROTON! Hence it just enforce my argument.......ppl buy the car base on branding & marketing more than the actual value of the car itself.

Every time ppl ask for a car of that range to buy..I say iriz is a really really good car....ppl just look at me like I'm a retard..and answer ' its a PROTON...puhleaaasseee....how it even b considered!'
*
nod.gif is ok bro - i feel for u ... the typical way most of our Malaysians speak is KNS doh.gif

Example

Ask P1 close shop la ... rolleyes.gif

rclxm9.gif Typical Malaysians all got tunnel-visions and views - they think closing down P1 can solve their anger for cheaper cars ! laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

i would in fact urged these people to go petition to the government to stop subsidizing proton and let it die ! nod.gif laugh.gif and see where it gets to.

the fact is government will not let P1 die because too much at stake. that's why i feel so sorry for Malaysia - you can tell from their herd mentality how sophisticated is their thinking. doh.gif

AVERAGE Malaysians Joes and Janes can all bantai and biatched about their unhappiness - the real patriots and Malaysians are the ones that will come out with solution to the problems !

Why would any tom dick and harry buy a car like this and invest on it any more money to make it handle better? Is it an inferior product out of factory? This car is really not people friendly. Entering the rear doors is like entering a space module. The front are ok. Rear is not good compared to Myvi. Why pay so much for something badly thought for passengers? Its not like buying a coupe where the rear passenger are secondary. I drive a 2 door car every day so i do know what i am talking about. And its not cheap by any means. Suzuki are never really cheap in Malaysia. I know personally a Suzuki Wagon R that cost RM200K in Malaysia. A wagon R that is equivalent to a Kenari!!

The best Suzuki if you ever wanted one is the SX4. This Mirage & Attrage is almost like an afterthought.  rolleyes.gif
*
Why put more money to make it handle better? Good question. Because it is my money and it is not your money so why should you have a say on how other spent their money? Ru planning to subsidize any of our choices?

People friendly is by taking public transport.

Rear as in what rear? This car is a sedan with bootspace and the myvi is a hatch. Don't get your drift.

Why pay so much? Is simple, cars in Malaysia is overpriced.

SX4 is Suzuki and Attrage or Mirage is Mitsubishi. So your point is?

it is a comfy car. i used to rent it in langkawi. interior sound is minimum. even with 1.2 engine the engine sound is not that intrusive. but the steering can feel the shake on idle. even cheapskate myvi dont have this issue should be because 3vs4 cylinder. but it is not that bad. i believe it is way more spacious than axia. should be compared to myvi instead. but i dont know how it perfoms on highway as we cant drive very fast on langkawi island.
*
Engineering question. This car is running on EPS like the current generation of the Myvi,Toyota Vios. So literally, how would the steering shake when car is idle or is it shaking when moving? Post la YouTube. I am sure everyone would marvel at this amazing discovery.

Alvin, just ignore these scammers.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Uncle Paul tan dot org is a fine example of a lot of pseudo-owners of cars whom is #01 good in talking as though they have the car even though they don't own it. What makes LYN an exception?

Just tell them best proof is a real Youtube video.

Exactly lor...Europe well we don't live in Europe...we r in Malaysia....

Yes...its a Mitsubishi...its not a GODCAR....therefore it has its flaw...I think the question is...why is it not popular...no? Not why is it a perfect car.....

Again...u just reinforced my point.....picanto is smaller but much cheaper and equal to iriz in safety spec....it may even have more gadjets too....and cheapest of the 3...so why isn't there more picanto on the road???  Cuz Malaysia mentality lor...branding and RV...u want a b-seg..GODCAR lor...u want a c-seg altis or Cibic lor....u want d-seg...Camry lor...u want kcar mivi lor......ask anyone u meet on the street....most ppl can't tell u what is the specification of the car they own........oh and FC la...that's about the buying criteria of majority here...no?
*
Bro, Malaysians car owners are one of the most fusiest lot in the world because we happened to be paying for overpriced cars. What typical Malaysians would want is bragging rights to the marque they drive but at the same time wants good FC, handling and resale value.

It would just tell them better use UBER or GrabCar instead. Enjoy the ride whilst no risk of ownership and comes with a driver.

rofl. ive driven a lot of cars that doesnt vibrate on idle. my proton is an old car with mileage nearly 200k KM. so i understand why it vibrates. u go check out how many new myvis has steering vibration issue on idle? vs new attrage. see which one smoother.

Yes bro. I would recommend Perodua to hire you as their top sales. Mitsubishi makes crappy cars ok? Perodua the best! Ok. End of story.

kesian. all the review i said above all good2 about this car except one thing about the steering vibration is inferior to the chapalang myvi, straight away cannot accept. okayla attrage good smoothest car around its price, powerful engine, highest dashboard quality, bestest fuel consumption.

Yes bro, Proton is in fact like our Minister said to be on par with BMW In terms of quality too.
