This is true, Ah sir.
------

By the way, I have just received my SCB interest today..  smile.gif
In my SCB online banking saving account, SCB put "Value Date: 23/3/2015", so I think
SCB back date the FD interest in my saving account since 23/3/2015.

I think SCB is supposed to back date my FD interest since 19/3/2015 (FD was placed on
19 Sept 2014)..so it looks like SCB eats my 4 days interest..?  mad.gif
If this is true, then it is good for people who placed 18 months FD with SCB..

Hi BoomChacha Sir,
I would like to ask you how you managed to get SCB to credit the 6 month interest?
I have talked to my branch (Saadiq, Bukit Tinggi Klang), they inform me that there is no 6 monthly credit of interest, only that if I were to take out my money now, the 6 month interest is assured.
My emails and calls to Customer Service are useless, they just reply have forwarded to relevant person who will contact me soon.....after 4 days still no contact.
Feel like I have to ask to see the Branch Manager and bang table....or can I write to Bank Negara to complain?

At first, you can talk to your RM, if your RM is not around or not answering to your call; then
you can talk to Service Relationship Manager or Service Manager (Service Relationship Manager reports to Service Manager), then the next option is to talk to the Branch Manager.

Write to Bank Negara to complain?  hmm.gif
I think not necessary lah....I think you will receive your interest very soon...

Hi BoomChaCha sir, thank you very much for your advice.
Is there any difference in terms of FD policy between normal SCB and Islamic SCB? I received a call from the bank (one of the service officers) and she told me that there is.
Anyway, my deposit was on 18.09.2014 and I just saw on the slip that it says Renewal Instructions : 1 (renew principal with profit) - the service officer says because it is option 1, the profits will not be credited every 6 months.
I pop in the bank on Monday (same building with my office) to try to argue my case.

Thanks for the info..  smile.gif
I will find out to see if I can appeal or not..
I do not know what is the difference in between SCB conventional FD & SCB Islamic FD,
but I know SCB Islamic FD is a little bit troublesome.
Your Service Manager is wrong.
Renewal Instructions: 1 (Option 1) is noting to do with the FD interest crediting issue.

As long as your FD tenure is more than 12 months, you will get interest every 6 months.
It is stated clearly on the FD cert (ii) as below:
[attachmentid=4427757]

You have not received your interest is because SCB screws up this time, I think SCB is crediting
interest manually to all FD depositors nationwide. Tell your Service Manager that some of your friends have received interest, talk to him nicely and ask him to expedite the process to credit you the interest.

You can ask for a sample of FD cert from SCB counter and show it to your Service Manager, the FD cert is stated clearly on condition (ii), you will get interest every 6 months. I did like this to my Service Manager, he agreed and promised to help me to chase for the interest.

Thanks again BoomChaCha sir for your advise. notworthy.gif
Will talk to them nicely when I pop in afterwards.
